Owner description: A clan chief's treasure house, generations of Clan Brodie have lived and died within Brodie Castle. On the tour can be seen a letter from Robert the Bruce, the coronation robe worn by Queen Adelaide in 1831, antique furniture and ceramics and an extensive art collection, including three works by the Scottish Colourists. This 16th-century castle is a slice of Scottish history not to be missed. There's plenty to discover outside the castle too. The 71 hectare estate has landscaped gardens, a large pond, a walled garden, a woodland walk, an adventure playground and a nature trail with observation hides for watching wildlife.

We stayed in cormacks lodge just outside the grounds ,near the pond.Brodie Castle is beautiful, lovely copper beeches everywhere ,missed the daffodils, which are varied and abundant.Kirsty did the tour ,she was interesting and made it a real pleasure to visit ,she had gathered lots of information and delivered it well .

We spent many evenings srolling through the grounds and cycling .This is definately worth a visit ,very friendly staff. Its a pity there arnt more informal tours as they bring alive the place and all the small details arnt missed .

Well done National Trust

“Excellent guides”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

We arrived at Brodie Castle and just caught the last tour of the day. Only 6 of us on the tour which was an great number to gain informative stories relating to the castle. Don't leave it too late in the afternoon to visit as the doors had to be unlocked to let us out. National Trust property so free to members.

As a National Trust member i was able to enjoy this facility for free but it is a national treasure and has lots of interesting things to see. The guide was excellent and the tea and scones before the tour were excellent too
