“CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK”
Reviewed 11 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Having spent last weekend in Wee Lossie cottage my husband and I cannot wait to go back again.

There is everything required within the cottage itself and the fact that only a couple of minutes away you can get takeway Thai, Indian and fish and chips along with a small supermarket, we definitely couldn't ask anymore of this break with our 2 dogs.

The fact alone that there is ample beaches to walk the dogs and also being able to take them with us (which is quite a challenge when looking at properties) has ensured our return.

However on the basis that the cottage is used by families with dogs there is absolutely no "doggie" smell and evidence that dogs have ever been in the cottage! So therefore this should not put anyone off staying there who do not have their canine friends with them.

We have stayed in various regions over the years with our dogs and can honestly say that this is the best yet. Not just the cottage but the location.

Definitely recommended.

“Absolutely delighted with this place”
Reviewed 24 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

I was absolutely delighted with this cottage. From the moment I opened the door I could see it was spotless and beautifully clean. It was dog friendly which was a real bonus but there was little evidence of other canine visitors.

The free wi-fi was fantastic as mobile phone reception on Vodafone didn't exist inside the cottage.

The only small downsides were the garden at the back which wasn't very big and has no grass and also the fact I didn't like the fact that the front door opened right into the cottage (no porch) so on the day it chucked it down all day it meant you had nowhere to dry off or sort yourself out before stepping into the cottage.

The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials and it was a nice touch to have a pint of milk left in the fridge (which is a bit small but then I guess the cottage isn't for a huge family)

The East Beach and West Beach are a 10 minute walk (max) from the front door and there is a little Co-op 2 minutes away and plenty of takeaways on your doorstep.

All in all I can't really fault this place and all electricity and towels and bedding were included - a bit different from the last cottage in which I stayed on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula which charged extra for EVERYTHING - even telling you to bring your own sheets!

Would definitely recommend and if up that way again would definitely stay.

“Lovely little cottage-perfect location!”

Wee Lossie Cottage is a fantastic accommodation in Lossiemouth. For a one-bedroom cottage, it is very spacious and is extremely well equipped. The kitchen is fully kitted out with everything you could need-and even has little extras like milk and cereal waiting for you on arrival.
The bedroom is a good size, and very comfortable, and the bathroom is lovely and modern.
It is in a great location, with shops etc nearby but also very close to the beach, and sits perfectly between the east and west beaches so you have a great choice.
We have stayed in various places along the Moray Coast, and this is definitely the best yet. Anywhere that welcomes dogs is always a big plus for us-although he is still too tired to move after a week at the beach! Will definitely be returning!

“Excellent accomodation”
Reviewed 9 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Excellent accommodation, immaculate condition in central Lossiemouth. Kitchen well equipped for all needs as was living and bathroom. Will most certainly return.

The added touches of milk, cereals, shortbread and even easter eggs on arrival was lovely!

“Perfect stay in home-from-home cottage”
Reviewed 9 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in Wee Lossie Cottage in October 2014. We travelled as a small family of two adults and a baby and the two up, two down accommodation was perfect for us.

We booked our short break very last minute and enjoyed outstanding customer service from Susan who very quickly and efficiently checked our requirements and processed our booking, emailing us full details of the accommodation and comprehensive instructions and directions. On the day of arrival we received a text confirming the accommodation was ready for our arrival.

On arrival at the cottage we were simply delighted with the high level of cleanliness, the fresh decor and the lovely welcome pack of essentials such as cereal, shortbread and plenty tea/coffee. On further inspection the cottage was more than fully equipped with everything you could need, with a fresh pint of milk in the fridge and thoughtful touches such as washing up liquid and plenty of toilet roll (commodities often scare in holiday accommodation).

The kitchen is very well equipped with all you might need for a self catering break. The microwave easily fits a baby bottle steriliser and there is plenty of cupboard and counter space.

The living room is pleasantly decorated and comfortable with all the usual mod cons, some DVDs and books.

The bathroom is spacious and 'hotely', with a nice powerful shower in a large cubicle.

Very pleasant bedroom with plenty of room under the eaves for a cot (mind your head!). The bed is very comfortable and quiet. Hairdryer and coat hangers are convenient too.

The heating is easy to figure out and very effective, although the boiler in the kitchen is a bit on the noisy side but not noticeable when kitchen door is closed (the dining table/chairs are in the living room so this really isn't a problem).

Fast, reliable, free Wi-Fi is a huge plus for us (the 'Three' 3G signal was non-existent all over the town and the telephone signal sketchy at best).

The cottage is perfectly located in Lossiemouth, close to both beaches, the esplanade and shops with lots of nice takeaways nearby for holiday eats. Recommend The Galley chippy on Clifton Road - best chips ever! We had no problem parking right outside the door of the cottage, a big plus when you're loaded up with baby paraphernalia.

In conclusion, a wonderful stay in the perfect home-from-home cottage which we would have no hesitation in highly recommending to couples and small families. The owner couldn't be more helpful and the customer service is great. We'll be back!
