Carols was so friendly and hospitable. Despite arriving like 2 drowned rats she let us walk through the house and turned over her boiler room to let us dry our motorbike gear. The house is amazing and historically interesting. The evening meal home cooked and tasty. We cannot wait to go back.

Stayed for just the one night - could and should have booked for many more.

great location and surroundings are quite special to explore - would certainly return.

food was just right, library was adorable and the walk along the river to the sea front was fantastic, great time

We stayed here at Woodwich House B & B on Orkney - furnishings are quaint but clean and go with the house - not a new building - older. with a bit of charm - beds are really comfy ( we had the double with en suite ) - breakfast - you have a big choice toast - cereal - fruit - or cooked ( bacon - sausage - mushrooms - beans - black pudding - eggs - fried bread ) and they are not skimpy portions also fruit juices - tea- coffee ( real not instant ) -- gardens to walk about in - dog friendly - also the owner Carola is a charming host - very helpful and charming ( a lovely lady ) if not eating in house ( 24 hrs notice ) she suggests places you might visit - we dined at a hotel by loch Harry

Delightful owner Carola and her super staff made us and our border terrier very welcome. Great breakfast, peaceful location and very comfortable rooms. We had a very large double aspect room on the first floor and our sons had a comfortable double downstairs. Our dog enjoyed the large garden and I enjoyed the porridge!

What a charming place to stay on Orkney! The house and rooms are lovely and the breakfasts were some of the best we had in our two weeks in Scotland. Also extraordinary are the grounds--located in a wooded oasis next to a rushing stream, complete with forest paths leading to the sea and bordered by magnificent gardens. We didn't want to leave.
