If you camp here, go across the road and pitch there. The view is worth crossing the road. Bring some 20p pieces for the shower, but one coin gives more than enough time for your shower. There's a mobile charging point in the door of the facilities with an honesty box. 50p per charge is fair enough with me and it was really handy to keep my mobile charged during my stay. Very friendly staff, but don't expect to see much of them. Just pitch your tent on arrival and they'll see you at some point for cash, or deposit in the honesty box. Very reasonable rates.

Very little in the way of local amenities. A small shop but it's not brilliantly stocked. Cash machine that charges £2 per withdrawal. A social club/bar which welcomes visitors and is open a few nights per week above the shop. Great location for visiting the northern Islands.

We stayed here about 3-4 years ago in the Stable and had a wonderful time. The cottages are located in a very quiet area right near the coast and a Broch. The cottage we stayed in had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. WE went all over Orkney and enjoyed everything we did, great walks, lovely people. WE also got the nearby ferry over to Rousay, which was also great; even had a swim in the sea there. Booking the cottage was straightforward and we had no problems with anything. It was just perfect! I am glad that there is finally a space on trip advisor to write about Eviedale Cottages, as our time spent there was one of my best holidays ever!!
