“A must from Stromness”
Reviewed 16 October 2013

'Lady Rose' at 65ft and 80 tonnes is no lightweight speedster but having said that is probably the best way to leisurely cruise Scapa Flow. We didn't have the best of luck weatherwise with a fog coming in about 2 and a half hours into the trip. Chris & Rose compensated for our early return by providing coffee & bickies in the wheelhouse. Ineresting map on wheelhouse wall showing names and position of German ships scuttled in 1919 together with British ships lost which are now war graves.

“Charming boat tour of Scapa Flow”
Reviewed 21 September 2013

The sturdy, re-fitted fishing boat Lady Rose is perfect for a tour of Scapa Flow. Weather permitting, you can sit in chairs on the deck and watch the land and sea go by. Our tour featured a trip to the barrel of butter. This tiny island in the middle of Scapa Flow flow is inhabited by seals, which looked at us curiously as we floated off shore. Tea in the cozy pilothouse was delightful, and Chris and his wife were quite knowledgeable about the history and nature of the area. If you are a bird watcher, you are almost certain to see gannets and other seabirds on this tour.

“MV Lady Rose, Stromness, the Orkneys”
Reviewed 11 May 2013

We've had a relaxing (4 hours) boattrip on MV Lady Rose on Skapa Flow. Enjoying the magnificant surroundings, the cliffs of north Hoy on the beautiful Lady Rose (skipper Chris Dambach).

We can recommend this to every Orkney visitor.
