Locally caught haddock and chips and a remarkably good chicken korma kept the whole family happy. On a Bright day you can sit outside with the beach stretching out in both directions and opal sea in front of you.

Arrived late for lunch, it was past their time for serving lunches, however on a quick with the chef, we were told they could serve us fish and chips. The battered haddock was to die for, the batter so light, it was the best I've ever had. The staff were friendly and very pleasant.

Very friendly service with true Westray hospitality. The fish and chips were excellent with the best homemade tartar sauce I have ever tasted. The bar has a big selection of Orkney beer to help wash it down.

Food was fresh and delicious!
There is a lunch menu with 3 things to choose from - but there was always something for everyone on there!
In the evenings there is quite a big menu - and it's difficult to choose! Helpings are very generous - so often we had to share deserts - which was a shame, because there were soo many delicious things!

I have eaten fish and chips in many places. There is no doubt that this is one of the best. The restaurant had been modernised since our last visit thre years back, and service was a little slow, but it was busy. I would strongly advise booking. If you like fresh fish simply cooked with the minimum of grease this is one of the best.
