“Great experience”
Reviewed 28 February 2014

Visited for my daughter's birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the deer encounter followed by lovely lunch and then the winter safari. From start to finish everyone was so friendly and could not have been more helpful. The safari was great fun and we learned a lot about the local landscape and history as well as the wildlife. It was really interesting and we were lucky enough to see wild deer at close range. A great experience for all the family.

“Excellent”
Reviewed 13 February 2014

My husband and I went on a Winter Safari with Steve, our guide and Ranger for the trip. From booking in to visiting the cafe at the end of the day - it was total professionalism throughout . Steve was extremely knowledgable and professional despite the rather snowy conditions which made it rather challenging. Fantastic experience and one we will come back to later in the year to see the sights from a different season.

“Wonderful experience!!”
Reviewed 3 February 2014 via mobile

We had the most wonderful experience feeding the herd of deer. To have these amazing animals eating from your hand was magical. Catriona, who took us out to meet the deer, was incredibly knowledgable and friendly. This is an experience we will repeat. Great set up for visitors.

Many thanks for your very positive feedback about the Red Deer Encounter which I will pass on to Catriona. We look forward to seeing you again when the new Red Deer Centre opens in May (with the addition of a Barn Owl!)

“Fantastic”
Reviewed 26 January 2014

My husband, myself and my 6 and 7 year old booked a forrest safari at 9am in the morning and they called back in half an hour to say they have fitted us in. This was great as it was raining. However when we got there the sun was out and it was just the best hour and half. I was worrried my kids may be too young for this but they loved the adventure in the range rover and looking at the stags through the telescope. The guide Steve was great, funny and very knowledgable of the area and everything in it. We are going to try to go back soon as we stayed at the Monness resort which was also great and we will go on a longer safari then. Great day had by all.

Thank you for your lovely review. Delighted you all enjoyed your Safari. We look forward to seeing you again. I'm sure the boys would also enjoy some of the alternative Safaris and a visit to the new Red Deer Centre (opening in May).

“Fun trip with some wildlife, local knowledge and snow!”
Reviewed 20 January 2014

We really enjoyed this, didn't see a lot of wildlift but it was still a fun enjoyable way to spend two hours.

Best part about going in January was the lack of people, we didn't pay for a private safari but we got one!
