“A must!!”
Reviewed 26 September 2008

I can't recommend this place enough, it was the highlight of our holiday. We did the Mountain Safari, it was great to see red squirrels and deer up in the hills which you wouldn't see otherwise. The views at the top of hills are amazing so bring the camera and a coat as it gets chilly up there. The stop off at the hut in the hills for a cup of tea and shortbread is a nice touch and I'd guess is welcomed if it is cold. The guide was really friendly and gave us lots of info without going overboard.

We also did the 4x4 driving epxerience which was brilliant!! It was so much fun, you don't have to be an experienced driver as the the car does the hard stuff for you.

The visitor centre is in a nice scenic spot with a play area and a organic, local food type cafe, the venison and red currant burger was gorgeous, despite feeling a little guilty that I had been photographing deer on in the hills earlier on. The gift and food shop is also nice for a mooch.

I'd allow plenty of time for your visit especially if you get lucky with the weather as we did so you can appreciate it all. We went as a mixed group in our twenties but I'd say it is somewhere that all ages can enjoy.
