We had a voucher for two nights in the self catering cottages and feel that had we paid full price we would not have been happy. Forget a good Scottish welcome because it was missing here, we were handed a map and pointed in the direction of the cottage, we were not told we're anything was and what facilities were available I don't think I have ever checked in anywhere so quickly. The cottage was ok but very bland and furnished to the bare minimum, the patio door was so stiff it felt like it hadn't been open in months and once outside we found the patio furniture filthy. We used the pool once and it's ok if there are only a couple of guests in it as it's very small and could do with being a bit warmer. We did enjoy our time but I would put that down to just using this as a base and going out and about in Aberfeldy.

My partner and I just arrived from a two-night holiday at Moness Resort. We bought a deal which was very reasonably priced. We stayed in room 14 which is in the building right next to the main reception. The room was spacious and clean and faced a nice green area in front of the hotel. The bathroom was massive with a big shower and bathtub big enough to have both your shoulders and knees under water ;) The room was very hot and we had to have the windows open most of the day. However, someone else might have preferred the room at the temperature that it was so I am not really complaining. The only actual complaint I would have is as the water coming from the taps in the bathroom was, according to the signs, not suitable for drinking, the hotel should provide more than just a 300-odd ml bottle of water each per day. Nothing that couldn't be fixed by a short walk to Co-op in town. Will get your exercise walking back with the bottles too ;)

The weather was brilliant and we had a walk to the nearby waterfalls and also had some drinks in town, which is just a short, 10 minute, walk away from the resort. There is a lot to do in the area especially if you like the outdoors but the hotel is a perfect setting for one of those "do nothing but relax holidays" too. We did not use the swimming pool or sauna but it looked nice and clean. Almost regret not bringing my swimmers...

We had dinner at the restaurant on the second night and the food was good. Nothing mind-blowing but very good value for money. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. A lady who I presume is the restaurant manager is worth a special mention as she was very accommodating and friendly and provides amazingly good customer service. We felt very valued as customers at the restaurant. However, we spoke to some other people staying at the hotel and apparently the food at the Terrace bar upstairs was a disappointment. We did not try the food there but the drinks were very reasonably priced and it was nice to pop in in the evenings. Service was good here as well as it was throughout the hotel.

Will definitely recommend to others and we are planning to return - maybe staying in one of the cottages, enjoying the sunshine, some mountain biking perhaps and a BBQ in the area next to the lovely duck pond.

Very clean and comfortable, beautiful grounds. Weather was rainy while we were there so we didn't get out and around much. We had some car problems and the hotel referred us to a local mechanic, couldn't be happier with hotel and mechanic!!

The Moness Resort is a very big complex. As we went in April most of the cottages were empty. We stayed in the hotel, in a delux bedroom. The room was very spacious, lovely, large bed and two comfy chairs. The bathroom huge. The service and food excellent. The location of the complex ideal for sightseeing and walks, Perth, Dundee, Scone Castle, Pitclochry, etc. I cannot comment on the leisure facilities as we didn't use them. I would give a cautionary note that during the high season it most probably would be very hectic.

Wow - had booked through travel zoo and what a bargain. £129 for 3 night B&B - Hotel first class, grounds very well kept, booking in although busy at time excellent service. We were in room 4 of main hotel, very high standard of fittings and decor, towels white, thick and fluffy, excellent housekeeping throughout the stay. Didn't use leisure facilities as lots of families with children who were really enjoying the water, please don't take this as a negative comment as we love to see children enjoying themselves and as we were out each day just hit the bar/ wine in room on the night.
We visited Blair Athol which is well worth a trip - steeped in history and the only place in UK who have a private army!,,, Pitlochry also well worth a visit and Crieff with it's crystal outlets and Valentines shop who stock Barbour, staff really customer focused and niece really pleased with her bag!!!!
We drove to Perth and did the park and ride just outside which drops you off in the town centre - as we have English bus passes we couldn't use then but the fare was pence and drivers very pleasant on both journeys.
I would like to congratulate the staff at Moness for their excellent customer service, food to die for and first class service. Would certainly recommend thank you.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 4 and although could hear the people walking above it did not disrupted our stay
