Good food and nice environment. Friendly and helpfull staff. It turned up to be the best solution for having something to eat while arrived late at Aberfeldy and everything else nearby were closed.

We stayed at The Weem and were pleasantly surprised to find a hidden little gem of a restaurant - which was an added bonus! We were treated to a gastronomic delight of "Ravioli Cullen Skink" and "Hen O The Wood Tart" for starters...the Ravioli Cullen Skink was an award winning and very inspirational creation from head chef Stuart, whilst the vegetarian option of Hen o the Wood tart was a delightful and robust mushroom sensation, encased in a filo tart, no hen's involved in the making of this heavenly treat!

The main course was sensational, whilst the "Mrs" had the resplendant Venison; an absolute treat to see that the chef uses the local game and surrounding land reflected in his dishes, an absolute testament to Scotland and her larder. I had the delights of the Duck; again wild game with a red lentil risotto and an oyster emulsion - divine!

The service was excellent - the manager Peter was another rare jewel - one of which we were made to feel extremely welcome by, and the chef and his team were astoundingly creative - amongst the best cuisine we have tasted on a global level.

Our family of 6 tried the carvery for Sunday lunch. Freezing cold plates, tough meat, under done vegetables, cold yorkshire pudding served in a plastic tupperware box, soggy roast potatoes - all in all a pretty disappointing experience. The pudding was better but again, could have been hotter. The service was friendly if a little amateurish and certainly wasn't very organised. It will be a while before I try it again. At £12.75 per head for 2 courses, it definitely wasn't worth the money or the effort.
