“Great breakfasts”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2012

The Fernbank House is located close to the centre of Aberfeldy and has its own parking, so is great for exploring the town. The breakfast is the best we have ever had anywhere. The other good point is that the wifi works and is fast.

This is a lovely b&b, very clean and welcoming (bikers, walkers, etc welcome). The room and bathroom were good sizes (Ben Lawers). Comfortable bed too. The breakfast selection was great and catered for every taste. Do try the porridge. I know it has been mentioned quite a few times in the reviews and deservedly so. The full breakfast looked very good too but I can also recommend the scrambled eggs and mushrooms with toast. Next time I will try the pancakes, bacon and maple syrup! Annette, Rory and their children are very friendly, a really nice place to stay.

Fernbank House is. a beautiful Victorian villa, tastefully decorated and furnished. It is located in Aberfeldy which is a well placed town for visiting the beautiful local scenery.
We received a warm welcome. Our room was very spacious with a very comfortable bed as well as plenty of storage space, a comfortable sofa and a tv. The ensuite was large. Bedding and towels were of top quality.
Breakfasts are amazing. The porridge in particular is not to be missed. The cooked breakfast is large and there is a wide choice. Vegetarians are also catered for.
The car parking facility is excellent.
We can not praise the owner and staff enough.

We are just back from spending the weekend at Fernbank House. We stayed in the "Ben Lawers" room, which was simple, very clean and spacious. Most importantly be bed was huge and very comfy. The bathroom was again simple, very clean and spacious. Most importantly the shower was easy to use and the water pressure was decent.
Breakfast!!!!! Second to none. Annettes porridge was gorgeous (although I passed on the whisky...bit early). My husband had the full cooked breakfast both days and said it was the best he had tasted. Top job Annette.
Annette is a very friendly host. She made us feel so welcome.
Fernbank House has real curb appeal. Then the inside is just as lovely. It really is a fabulous place to stay and we will definately be back.
Thanks Annette, see you again soon. Colleen & Rab Davidson

We stayed here for one night on a fact finding trip to Aberfeldy, Annette the owner was very friendly and helpful, twin room was £70 for one night, very clean and bright, very comfy beds, breakfast was to die for, best porridge I have ever tasted with some whisky and honey in it, only slight negative was our room was cold even with the radiator on full belt, maybe a small convection heater would help to boost the room temp, I think they are a hardy lot in Aberfeldy though as I watched a young man going for his morning paper on his bike with just jeans and tee-shirt on....it was 4 deg c!
