We showed up without a reservation and only stayed one night but our hostess made us feel welcomed. Very lovely room in a beautiful home. Breakfast was outstanding. Husband is a butcher and his specialty sausages are featured at breakfast. You would have no regrets staying here either.

Thank you for your kind review. Having the Butcher's, Macdonald Bros. Ltd., we are able to put a variety of sausages on our breakfast menu. All the sausages, black pudding and haggis are made in our award winning shop. I have also started making my own Strawberry Jam and Marmalade, which has had great reviews from our guests. Best regards Annette

Arrived without a booking but were made very welcome. Since we were the only ones so far, we had a look at all the rooms which varied in size but were all great. We splurged on the biggest one which was ENORMOUS! Had 2 armchairs in the bay window and a full couch as well. Lovely ensuite too. We couldn't fault anything about the place - very clean and comfortable, lovely couple running it and the best breakfast in our whole time in Scotland. We will always remember the porridge! (I don't really like porridge but this was AMAZING creamy porridge with a touch of honey and whiskey. I actually couldn't taste the whiskey, but the porridge was unlike any I have every had.
It's an easy walk to a friendly pub.
Next morning, Annette told us where to go for a picturesque drive. It was stunning scenery, off the beaten track. We were so pleased to be told about it.
Thanks for a great stay!

Thank you for your wonderful review, we loved having you to stay and really pleased you enjoyed our home and especially the breakfast and porridge. I've just made a lovely strawberry jam to go with my home made marmalade. This was my first attempt and am very pleased with the result. I may have to do a blueberry jam next. Regards Annette

We have just spent 2 nights at Fernbank, and it was lovely in every way. Other contributers have said it all, but we thoroughly agree with all the nice comments about Annette, the lovely house, the attentive service and delicious breakfasts. We enjoyed the spacious, tastefully decorated room, big fluffy towels, nice toiletries and locally-made tablet. Aberfeldy is a great base for visiting a really beautiful area and Fernbank is ideally located. Annette has good local knowledge and was able to make several suggestions for walking routes all of which we really enjoyed. We would not hesitate to recommend Fernbank.

Room Tip: Any room would be good I think. They are different sizes and we were in a middle-sized room which wa...

Thank you for your lovely review. The walking around this area is spectacular and so many routes to follow. I especially enjoy the route along the river bank to Grandtully, I usually stop for coffee at the Chocolate shop, and I don't feel quite so guilty having a few of the specialised chocolates with my coffee after the long walk. It is a clean, quiet (even though on the main road) B&B with very comfortable beds and chairs in the room. Good parking inside gate. There was a breakfast menu to choose from and the food was delicious. It is close enough to walk to the center of Aberfeldy.

Room Tip: We had a big room on the street side which was very nice and still very quiet. Could not have been b...

Fernbank Bed and Breakfast is located in Aberfeldy on the main street convenient to restaurants and the shopping. The breakfasts were freshly prepared to order and memorable!
The hospitality was gracious and all questions were answered patiently. We would not hesitate to recommend this place. Remember it is not modern but certainly has a charm all of it's own. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would do it again.

Room Tip: If you require a king size bed, it is available in one room.

Thank you very much for your comments. We very much enjoyed your company, especially at our BBQ. Our home was built in 1860 and is one of the first to be built in our town. We feel so lucky that many of the original features remain from that period. I would just like to mention that two of our rooms have indeed got king-sized beds. The remaining room has a double bed. I hope you're rested from your journey back to your home and very much look forward to meeting you again soon. Best regards Annette
