“Family break”
Reviewed 1 November 2016 for a stay in October 2016

What can I say apart from stunning!

We arrived after a long drive to be met by John pottering round making sure everything was in order, we were given a guided tour and shown how everything worked and then left alone. The location is absolutely stunning, situated by the river has beautiful river views and is so so quiet.

The cottage inside has a modern theme and is well fitted out with everything you could need for a break away. The bedrooms are a very good size and both beds were very comfy, the bathroom is downstairs with a shower and bath with a washing machine discreetly tucked away in a cupboard just incase you need to use it.

Both the sitting and dining rooms have either a log burner or open fireplace with the wood and coal freely available to use. It was stocked up by John outside so never had to ask for more.
The cottage does have wifi however it is not reliable wifi but paired our phones to get wifi so bare that in mind!

The gardens again are lovely and there was an extra 7 acres for you to wonder around in past Johns house. The hot tub was in the garden next to a wooden wood stove sauna we spent every evening with the kids in the hot tub and sauna overlooking the river truly lovely!

Would we come again most defiantly!

Thank you for your amazing review. We are glad that you and your family enjoyed all the facilities. The wi fi at the moment is patchy but hopefully soon it will get a lot better once the new super fibre cabinet goes live in Aberfeldy.
We hope to welcome you back in the future.
Kind regards
John and Ursula

“Amazing Break”
Reviewed 21 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We returned a couple of weeks ago from a very relaxing weekend in this gorgeous cottage. The facilities are amazing...hot tub, sauna, fire pit, BBQ....its endless. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay effortless and comfortable.

My only problem was I slipped coming out of the hot tub and after a visit to the A&E on my return home, I had torn some ligaments on my knee. This has nothing to do with the owners as they warned us to be careful and it could be slippy. I will try and be more careful the next time as we plan to return.

Would highly recommend despite the crutches:-)

Thank you for your lovely review and we are glad you enjoyed all the facilities. We are sorry to hear that you slipped and hurt your knee and hope that you make a swift recovery. We have put out extra matting around the hot tub which should make it a lot safer when getting out. Hope to see you again soon.
Kind regards

“Little gem”
Reviewed 2 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We recently stayed at this beautiful cottage ,if you want tranquility and somewhere to recharge your batteries ,this is the place to be ,set on the banks of the river and set in some large gardens this little gem is stunning ,the house is beautiful and relaxing with open fires for those cold nights but this place has the added bonus of a hot tub and sauna which you can chill and watch the river flow slowly by,we loved this place so much we are in the process of booking again, the ferry has the added bonus of those little extras that you always wanted a place to have but don't ,things like extras in the kitchen and bathrooms ,this place is pet friendly with plenty of walks on the door step , I would highly recommend this little gem .

“Beautiful and stunning setting”
Reviewed 18 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We recently enjoyed a stay at the Ferry, we loved the cottage and the setting. If you need a recharge of the batteries and to relax, unwind, this accommodation is for you. The accommodation set over a large area is near to the owner, which wasn't an issue at all..if we needed anything they were there, if not, we didn't see them. The cottage has a beautiful lounge, dining room both with open fires..kitchen is large, a little old fashioned, but was fine. Bathroom downstairs had the shower, which was large and spacious. Upstairs had 2 identical large bedrooms, which are lovely and upstairs bathroom (without shower).
The little touches supplied by the owner (plenty of wood for the fires, food in cupboards, kitchen/bathroom with all the essentials), were really appreciated.

Outside was for us the most special area, with the outdoor fire pit and sauna and hot tub, which we used everyday, overlooking the Tay.

We will return.

“Perfection”
Reviewed 29 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We visited the ferry house for a 4 day break with our children aged 9 and 12 everything about this hidden gem is truly delightful. The boys had a great time in the hot tub and loved sitting around the fire pit toasting their marshmallows at night time. During the day the boys had their first experience of fishing using the reels provided at the cottage and although we didn't get round to using them there was 2 bikes available for our use........plenty to do.

The scenery is breathtaking overlooking the river and I can honestly say this is the best self catering accommodation I have ever been to......definitely has something for everyone. The owner John was extremely helpful and accommodating and has paid attention to every detail throughout the cottage.

We all had an amazing time and look forward to returning in the future.

“Total tranquility”
Reviewed 24 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

very nostalgic visit as my friend & I stayed here for holidays when my aunt had the house many years ago. Not much has changed which we were really pleased about. The peace & quiet is so lovely. Very relaxing. Our husbands enjoyed the fishing. Hot tub & sauna were fantastic. Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend.
