just returned from a weekends break and have to say I was pleased with the 2 bedroom lodge. all the equipment you could need is there and the décor is bright and fresh. The pool facilities were clean and tidy and all staff were friendly and helpful. We also used The Gleaneagles Hotel facilities.... Gundog School and Falconry centre as its much cheaper than staying there. On the whole the Duchally is perfectly placed. It perfectly quiet, clean and a pleasure to stay there. We will be back and so will you....

Room Tip: All self contained lodges are good.

Stayed at duchally on a family break, my family and I loved our time here. The self catering lodge was immaculately presented and spacious, fully equipped with everything needed to make the stay more enjoyable. All staff were polite and courteous and Moira who works in the bar was great, full of scottish banter and local knowledge. The leisure centre was a real bonus, especially after a long day walking on nearby ben Lawers. Only ate food within the bar at lunchtime but it was well prepared and good quality. Wifi was only available in the bar and leisure centre- this would be my only criticism as it would have been nice to have it in the apartment.

Overall a great stay and would retire without hesitation.

Just returned from three nights at this lovely resort, staying in a two bedroomed lodge. Didn't want to leave! The first thing to hit me was the peace and quiet - it's such a tranquil atmosphere! The accommodation was bright, modern and very spacious. Our 3 year old had plenty of room to run about and we appreciated that there was a DVD player there to play his favourite programmes when he was tired!
We took all our own food, but had read about - and took full advantage of - the welcome pack which provided eggs, milk, bread etc. I'd have to admit the loaf was mainly used to feed the ducks! They are often found at the pond, but we found that one particular pair came to the lounge window several times a day to sees if their luck was in. Which it always was! There are also lots of other small birds come to feed - and a resident pheasant, which roams the grounds.
We went swimming early every morning - the pool opened at 9am. The water was warm and there was plenty of room at that time for us to have fun and a decent swim. The little cafe adjoining it was clean and was perfect for a coffee and a pastry.
All staff were very friendly - from the buggy drivers who waved back to an excited 3 year old to the housekeeping staff who kicked the football with him on their way past our lodge.
We had a small issue with the oven when it wouldn't switch on - within an hour the receptionist had sent someone over and it was fixed. Excellent service all round.
I'd recommend the place in a second - it's perfect for small children. In fact, I came home this afternoon and booked to go back in May. I'm looking forward to a long and happy relationship with Duchally. Loved it!

Myself, my mum and aunt had a 2 night stay in a 2 bed lodge last weekend. We arrived before 4 and were pleasantly surpirsed that our lodge was ready and could settle in. The lodge is just lovely. Large, nicely furnished and finished to a very good spec. Very comfortably accommodated the 3 of us and would easily accommodate 4 adults and children. There are 2 bathrooms one which had a seperate shower. The lodge has everything you need and i mean everything. All you need to bring is your food. There is even a dishwasher, coffee machine, cleaning stuff, washer dryer and ipad dock. Amazing. The surroundings are also lovely and well kept with ducks wandering around. I used the gym which is compact but useful. Swimming pool looked lovely and clean too. We never ate in the hotel because we brought so much food but we thought the prices were ok. The receptionist and staff very helpful aswell. The only niggle was that we couldnt get any salt and pepper. Lol ridiculous i know but to supply us with everything else...absolutely no hesitation in recommending here and infact i am already looking forward to rebooking.

We visited Duchally last December for a special birthday and stayed in one of the self catering lodges. We arrived slightly before 4pm and weren't allowed into our lodge as they are clearly strict with check in time. We had a 3 month old baby with us so this wasn't ideal however we decided to have a drink in the bar. Beautiful surroundings, open fire real Christmas tree etc. The drinks were very expensive but we had the one then eventually got into the lodge. Well worth the wait, it was lovely. Very cosy with everything you would need. We are returning for another family gathering this month and we can't wait. One thing I would say is DON'T eat in the hotel. Overpriced for mediocre food. The leisure facilities are great with very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments and I do hope that you enjoyed your special birthday celebrations. It was good to see that you found your lodge met with your expectations. We welcome feedback from our guests as it helps us to maintain our high standards so I was sorry to see that you had reservations about dining with us. We aim to offer traditional Highland hospitality and have won awards from ‘Eat Scotland’ for our dining excellence. The vast majority of the produce prepared in our kitchen is sourced locally in Perthshire and our food is freshly prepared and cooked, and, we believe, very sensibly priced, so please accept my apologies if on this occasion we fell below our high standards. We look forward to welcoming you back for your family gathering.

We missed a booking due to a family bereavement, but were still charged the full rate for the room. I offered to pay for another night and asked if perhaps I could have part of the cancellation fee set against this, but I did not even get the courtesy of a reply. I fully appreciate that hotels need to charge cancellation fees, but I was not at all impressed by the cold way in which I was death with given tcircumstances.

It seems the warm welcome is offered at a price !!!

I was very sorry to hear about the family bereavement. Our records show that the person in whse name the booking had been made contacted us a week after the booking had gone by, by whuch time they had been recorded as a non-arrival. In common with the hospitality industry, our policy for non-arrivals, as clearly stated on our website, is to charge for the reservation. However, we do our very best to be flexible in individual circumstances and on this occasiion left voice mail messages for the person in whose name the booking had been made, offering alternative dates, but we did not hear back. It seems that this information was not known to the reviewer, and we do find it regrettable that reviewers use the threat of a poor review in an attempt to coerce the resort.

Stayed one night. The room was excellent, comfortable with plenty of space and a nice bathroom with Jacuzzi bath. Lunch was good value with home cooked local produce and not excessively expensive. Its more of a resort catering to families but its large enough that everyone can avoid being overrun by others. Unlimited use of the leisure facilities even after check out was nice. If you are up for the Ryder Cup check it out.

Room Tip: rooms on west side have best views.
