I booked this cottage after myself and girlfriend had had our 1st holiday together near Portpatrick south west Scotland and we loved it.This time it was my turn to pick our holiday as we are trying to find our perfect place to relax and unwind. We arrived in the dark so had to contact the owner of the cottage to guide us in but as soon as we walked through the doors we loved the place even the pooches felt at home straight away. We found it a great location to explore, within an hour of Glasgow,90mins from Edinburgh, 30mins from Perth and the very picturesque Pitlochry. Also stumbled across an old prison of war camp in crombie about 5 miles away which is run by the community. We suggested they should do a zombie run for Halloween so keep your eyes open for that nxt year. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean very. Only negative mybe 2 shower rooms and no bath but would definitely be going back. Happy memories.

Locherlour Mill was a good base for our trip to Scotland where we could enjoy good walking and nature. The cottage itself was finished to an extremely high spec and had everything you would need and more. It was a lovely base to return home to after a day out in the Scottish weather with underfloor heating making it extremely cosy.

“Wonderful Experience”
Reviewed 29 December 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We stayed at Joanne's beautiful Cottage the week of Ryder Cup. It was a perfect 'home' base. The Cottage was tastefully decorated, spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable. Joanne was very accomodating and provided wonderful tips about the countryside. This was our first of hopefully many visits to Scotland & the Locherlour Mill Cottage!

“A perfect place to stay”
Reviewed 16 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Locherlour Mill Cottage is perfect in every way. It has excellent and high quality facilities, it is well placed for exploring the local area and further afield - and you can take take your dog ! Joanne is a most helpful yet unobtrusive host. We could not have asked for anything more and will certainly be back.

“A Real Jewel in the heart of Perthshire”
Reviewed 10 September 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We stayed at Joanne's cottage for just over 1 week, using it as a base for attending the athletics at the Commonwealth Games. It was a real treat to know we were returning to such a peaceful location after coming back from Glasgow.

Well appointed, the cottage really had everything for the visitor. It was also in a wonderful location being accessible to many beautiful parts of the country. A particular treat was the immediate countryside and wildlife. One day, we were joined by two circling kites as we had our breakfast. A truly lovely spot!

“Lovely cottage in amazing location”
Reviewed 29 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

I stayed for a week in the cottage with my dog and we really could not have chosen a better week! The weather was absolutely fantastic and the cottage had everything we required- even white company bath robes!! The wet rooms were very luxurious, as was the furniture and decor. Joanne is extremely helpful and location set between Crieff and Comrie is ideal. I had a brilliant holiday. Perthshire at it's very best!!
