I loved the Drummond Castle gardens. The autumn colour is spectacular and I can't wait to go back and see how they look in the spring and summer. Watch out for the peacocks. There are dozens of them and they are so laid back they don't seem to be at all bothered by visitors. I will certainly return and would encourage any garden lover to make a point of visiting.

Reputed to be the best formal garden in Scotland. We were not disappointed. They were beautifully laid out - not the best time to visit - in October - as some things were beginning to die back but still well worth the visit. Would imagine that in Spring and summer they would be stunning. Road difficult to get along - many passing places but well worth the trek.

We were with a group and privileged to tour the "Castle" rooms and ruined parts.
The garden is a rare one having enough staff to keep it in splendid shape.
Projects are in the air for various areas of the estate.

We went to Drummond gardens at 5:00 pm, and barely managed to get in before they closed. We had one hour to walk among the beautiful gardens. Admittedly, this may have colored our visit for the better. We were almost the only ones there! The gardens are lovely, but when we had it to ourselves, it felt simply magical. Quiet, colorful, beautiful... peacocks walking the grounds, statues everywhere, fountains creating a soft quiet mood. We could have stayed for hours longer, soaking in the beauty and quiet.
