It was so enjoyable to stay in such welcoming hotel on the route to and from Skye. The welcome we and our dog had together with a wonderful meal made for a memorable stay. The highlght was being able to see Ospreys catching fish on the loch as we enjoyed our wonderful meal

The food in this hotel is fantastic make sure you book in for the fine dining experience at least on one night but the bistro bar is also excellent. The hotel is at the quieter end of the hotel and we had a very peaceful few days. Breakfast was also good. The staff were very attentive and worked v hard. Our room was basic but was clean (we had tried to upgrade but hotel was busy). There was few people staying in the chalets who had dogs with them who all said that their pets were made very welcome

Room Tip: Try for a loch view

Great from start to finish. Efficient and helpful check in. Lovely home made short bread in room-nice complementary touch.Excellent menu in Tarken bar. Great choice of food at breakfast and so lovely to be able to look out over Loch Earn.
All the staff were so helpful and friendly.
Would definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing break away from it all.

Room Tip: It is worth asking for a room overlooking the Loch!

Just back from a long weekend staying in the apartment at the Four Seasons Hotel. Staff were very friendly and so accommodating to our four legged friend! Ate at the Bistro on the first night and the food was delicious! Breakfast was also set up at a table in the small bar so as we did not have to leave our dog for meals. All in all a super weekend! Thank you so much - we will return!

Stayed last year and returned on 16 May for a two night stay. Had booked a superior room and the view up the loch was fantastic with the sun sparkling on the water (last year the mist prevented us even seeing across the loch!). Check-in was very efficient and our travelling companions' dog was overjoyed with her personal welcome letter and dog biscuit. After a walk along the disused railway line, we returned for drinks sitting in the sun on the veranda. A great way to unwind.
We dined in the Meall Reamhar restaurant on the first evening where the waitress Genna remembered us from last year and looked forward to serving us. The food was excellent from the amuse bouche through to the dessert.
To bed, perchance to dream ! The fire alarm sounded at 5.15 and we joined the rest of the guests evacuated from the building. After a short time, Genna who was also the fire marshall that night announced the "All Clear".
The choice at breakfast was extensive ranging from cereal, fruit, yoghurt, pastries and juice through to porridge and cooked breakfast. Genna was bright, cheerful and there was no indication that she had jaded unlike some of the diners.
The second evening we dined in the Bistro. Again the food was excellent and the service was warm and friendly.
An enjoyable stay at a hotel is made up of many integral parts and if one disappoints , this can impact the whole experience. The owner Andrew has a great team and, for us, Genna is the star of his operation.

Stayed at the Hotel recently for a one night stopover. Picked the hotel primarily for the AA rosette rating, together with its location. Must say, the food was really excellent both in the evening and at breakfast. The hotel position beside the loch was great - even saw an Osprey through the binoculars. Weather was good on arrival so we sat outside and had a couple of drinks. The only slight downside to the experience was the hotel itself, which had a rather rundown interior. Booked a superior room, mainly for the view over the loch. The room itself could have done with
a serious makeover (especially the bathroom). The whole hotel had the appearance that it had not had much done to it since about the 1970's. I have given the hotel a very good rating due to the superb food (which was the main reason for staying there). With some work on the hotel fixtures/fittings and décor, this could be an outstanding place.

……..” Must say, the food was really excellent both in the evening and at breakfast”…….. Thank you for taking the time to review, and great to hear that you enjoyed the food. Sorry that you felt the hotel had not been updated since the ‘70s, (though I would suggest perhaps you never saw it even in the late ‘90s before the current ownership) I would hope that we provide value for money, rather than a “boutique hotel experience” if that is what you were looking for one would expect to pay a touch more perhaps. Many thanks again for your feedback.

Recently enjoyed a two day break in glorious sunshine. Whilst room allocated was at back of building , more than adequate and dinner / breakfast in both restaurant and Bistro was very good.
Hotel has a stunning position overlooking Loch Earn and , due to great weather , we were able to sit outside enjoying drinks and taking in the scenic views across the loch .

Good walks up behind hotel and also around lochside . Hotel also very dog friendly and , once we get our own puppy ,we look forward to another visit to this fabulous hotel.

There are also a number of log cabins available on the hillside behind the hotel

Room Tip: Rooms at front of hotel have stunning views across loch .
