“Lovrly beach”
Reviewed 3 May 2014

Beach itself is gorgeous, and nearby is Scotland's most enjoyable golf course, and even the cemetery and church ruin is worth a visit. Occasionally the end of the point is blocked off by the military, but it doesn't affect the beach (other than the vehicles going back and forward along it).

“Beautiful”
Reviewed 1 May 2014

A lovely beach for a walk - there's a lot of space.
And the ruined church and Balnakiel House add both history and another opportunity to take photos!

“Wouldn't believe you were in this country”
Reviewed 9 April 2014

This beach has it all. The sea has the colours of a tropical ocean. White unspoilt sand, the cows that graze on the sand dunes and then at times, meander along the beach, the ruined church with its graveyard and so much more. Beautiful.

“Possibly the best beach in the UK”
Reviewed 31 March 2014

Sunsets, aurora's, dark sky photography, Milky Way to the naked eye, sandy beach with no pollution, a graveyard with an abandoned church dating back over 400 years .... struggling to think of other boxes that need ticking as this beach is incredible.

“beautiful beach!”

Incredible wide expanse of gorgeous rose colored sand. Turquoise waters and breathtaking scenery. Very nice little ruined church by the beach.
