We stayed with 2 children an 8 year old and a 4 year old.AS stated by many reviews the layout was excellent as was our cooked breakfast. The children loved the garden with goal post swing and trampoline. We loved the walk way accross the road were there is a nature walk along a stream/river and some friendly sheep who come running over when you enter the gate. We really enjoyed our stay in Inverness and it was great to know after a day out travelling and sight seeing we could go back and relaxin in the garden with a cuppa while the children could run around outside. We stayed in the affric suite which has a room seperate for the children connected through a bathroom they can only exit by walking through the bathroom and out of the adults room.. They had a great time feeding and visiting the animals.. While there we also used the hot tub which everyone loved..You will need a car to access any areas but that is common for this area.

This b&b more than lived up to the website and other reviews. We arrived weary from a long trip and other activities to this beautiful home which has the perfect mix of privacy for guests (with the rooms coming out on to the front balcony), spacious and luxurious accommodation, and a warm welcome. Our room also had a small kitchen area at one end, and the spaciousness also gave us a table and seating area by the window. We enjoyed an excellent night's sleep and a first class breakfast. This B+B is ideally located to allow access to the beauty of the area. We shall be returning later in the year to use it as a base to walk the North Highland Way. Sonia and Graham are great enthusiasts for the area and are keen to give ideas and guidance of places to go and things to do.

We were looking for a typically Scottish overnight accomodaton for our friends from New York, who love animals......particularly sheep!!! We certainly werent disappointed. This amazing place has everything.........Sonia and Graham are wonderful hosts, the accomodation and food are first class and the whole experience was so memorable, we shall certainly be back for more. We would recommend this awesome place to anyone. Thank you, Sonia and Graham......our sister and brother-in-law were blown away by the true Scottish hospitality and the standard of personal touches that made our brief stay so so special.

We had to find somewhere to stay near Cannich as we had a business appointment with the local Community. After a very busy day and long drive, it was a real tonic to have such a place to rest, stay and relax for a bit. A lovely room, comfortable beds and warm hosts to greet us. Having the felxibility of a small kitchen in our room gave us the freedom to cook if we wanted, or hosts that were happy to make us a meal after a long day was a great bonus.
We would highly recommend Great Glen Bed and Breakfast (Anderson Farmhouse) to anyone.

We stayed here four years ago and the children still talk about it (and clamour to go back). Hugely welcoming hosts, good food, lots for kids to do (small temporary swimming pool, trampoline, jaccuzi, horses, cattle ...)

Only catch was the A road which is very close - no problem for a short stay, but not 'perfect highland tranquility' if that is what you are after.

We stayed at the Anderson Farmhouse Great Glen B&B for five nights, and it was wonderful. Sonia and Graham were delightful hosts, and Sonia makes delicious breakfasts. The area scenery is breathtaking, even in winter. We want to return in warmer weather for hiking the Glen. ... The No. 17 bus will stop right at the gate for the B&B for a scenic and short trip up the western shore of Lochness to Inverness for shopping or further excursions, if you don't rent a car. The local people in and around Drumnadrochit are friendly and helpful as well.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Glen Urquhart suite, which includes a kitchen. This made it super-convenient.

We toured Northern England and Scotland and loved it all. We were a bit apprehensive because it's so near the Loch Ness and we didn't want to be surrounded by flocks of tourists, but it turned out to be such a charming place! Extremely comfortable, so peaceful and so convenient as a base to see the region. Graham and Sonia are brilliant hosts: they like to see people enjoy themselves. Graham quickly noticed I was dying to get closer to the animals so he let us brush the cattle, and feed the horses and the sheep. The guest book praises the tub very frequently, but I think the Andersons' hospitality and their animals were the best bit. You can be sure we'll come back.

Room Tip: Take the hosts' advice.
