“Great b&b for dogs & people”

Stayed the weekend as a base for Angela to run the loch ness marathon. Linda and Mike couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. It was great to have a living area as well as the bedroom, especially with our dogs. Very comfortable and great breakfast. Paul & Angela.

We highly recomend this B&B. My husband and I booked Torran for 4 nights to use as a base whilst walking sections of the Great Glen Way. After some long day walks it was the ideal place to rest and recover being warm, very comfortable and offering great facilities. Mike was a top host and his lovely breakfasts were a perfect start to the day. It was a peaceful and scenic location being out of the village but up a single track hill road so a car is handy if you are less able to walk. Drumnadrochit is a well serviced village and we were able to use local buses to get us to and fro our walk start points each day. Mike and Linda were very welcoming to us and our little dog and we appreciate the extra little special touches that they provide. The Great Glen Way is a facinating and scenic walk which can be done in a week and Torran is ideal for a stop over or base to explore this wonderful area.

What a lovely couple Mike and Linda are. The accomodation was terrific. Breakfast was a full Scottish breakfast. The house is situated at the top of a hill with fantastic views. It is surrounded by countryside which our 2 dogs loved. If I didn't know better I'd say they enjoyed our 2 night break more than we did! So many beautiful places nearby to visit. My favourite was Glen Affric with it's lovely waterfalls. Anyone with dogs will enjoy a stay at Torran. It is so friendly yet it is like being on your own as Linda and Mike leave you alone.

Room Tip: There is only one room which is very comfortable and has terrific views. Very peaceful.

Welcoming, kindly folk, beautiful accommodation, delicious food, stunning scenery and - best of all - truly dog-friendly!
We would love to have stayed longer and will definitely return. Thank you, Mike and Linda, for providing such a superb break.

I stayed with Mike and Linda at the Torran B & B for a week during a solo trip to the loch ness area. Solo, that is, if you don't count my Pug X Boston Terrier, Oscar. We were both so well looked after and The Torran. The B&B was truly dog friendly; I was able to completely relax there, and we both felt at home. Mike and Linda happily catered for my Gluten Free, vegan diet, and provided top-notch food while they were at it. The food was so good, in fact, that I've been trying to "copy" the breakfast since returning home! The hosts were always willing to provide me with directions, and to help me in any way they could to have a good trip. I felt genuinely cared for--a true blessing when traveling alone.
I am sure there is nowhere any traveler--and especially those with dogs--could have a better stay in the Loch Ness area.

One small note: the B&B is at the top of quite a big hill; so don't be surprised about that when you get there. But the view is excellent, and the village just a few minutes away. Best to have a car, or be a strong walker.

We stayed at Torran with our two dogs fro three nights and would recommend this B&B to any dog owners. The hosts Mike and Linda (and their dogs) were very friendly and welcoming to both us humans and our slightly crazy Terriers. The location is great for walking the dogs - straight out onto the moors with great views and no need for leads. The accommodation is more than adequate with plenty of room in the downstairs room for dog beds, dishes, cage & associated doggie paraphernalia. Mike's breakfasts are really good (especially the fruit salad !) and he is such a nice guy - really helpful. He even checked out where the best weather would be for us do we could make the best of a rather cold and wet few days.
We will definitely be back to Torran - thanks Mike and Linda !!

We stayed at Torran for a week using it as our base to travel around the Highlands and the North West of Scotland. The accommodation was perfect for our needs - spacious, comfortable and in a superb location with fantastic views. Mike and Linda were incredibly friendly and accommodating hosts. Mike's breakfast were a perfect start for our busy days, and any little thing we needed they were always able to provide without it ever seeming like any bother.
Highly recommended!!
