“Brilliant trip, lovely skipper!”
Reviewed 17 May 2014

Being the only two passengers on the ride, it was a very personal and entertaining experience! The driver and skipper Colin (hope I got the name right?) was a great guide. He is a lovely and absolutely charming storyteller. His commentary was full of information and very entertaining. The equipment like sonar and under water cam thats on the boat is a great addition to the Nessie hunter theme. We are so lucky, that we found this cruise, though it needed a bit of research, we did not want a package tour by the travel companies in inverness (the big companies are all over the place, but crowded and not personal at all)!
We bought the tickets from the friendly lady in the Celtic crafts shop in Nessieland. The price is absolutely fair, because even if the boat is fully booked, it's taking maximum 12 passengers. And they are going even if it's only a few bookings! All in all there is only one thing to complain about: and that's that Nessie didn't show herself. All the rest was just lovely.
Thank you so much! We will come back and recommend this to everyone, who visits Loch Ness.

Our cruises cover all aspects of Loch Ness and has been described by visitors and travel writers as "the most entertaining and informative cruise on Loch Ness"!
We have fact sheets in 20 languages and after the live commentary our passengers have the opportunity to ask the skipper questions about Loch Ness, so we are a bit disappointed to hear that you thought the cruise was " ... just a boat ride ..." with no other comments.

“Looking for Nessie was a blast!”
Reviewed 11 May 2014

What fun! A definite must if near this area. Between, our guide, Colin, who was friendly, personable and had great stories to tell, to the sonar screen where we could see below, to the beautiful scenery and the great pictures we got of the Urquhart Castle - this tour was so worth the time and money. This would be a highly recommended thing to do. Our only struggle was finding where they were... Just google - Nessie Playground - u get your tickets from the craft store in the same center. Thank you, Colin! You made our adventure for the day something we won't forget!

Thank you for your great review! Colin will be very pleased. Like myself he is a local highland skipper and we do our best to make every one of our cruises "simply the best".
We are aware that car navigators take you to the wrong location and we are doing our best to rectify the situation. We are not in The Loch Ness Centre we are in Nessieland just of the A831 Cannich road just off the A82. Look for the Nessieland signs!

“Best Boat Trip Ever!”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

When visiting Loch Ness a boat trip is essential and there are many available but I would recommend this one above all others. Not only is the trip itself entertaining (the commentary is brilliant) but the addition of sonar and underwater cameras is fantastic. The gentleman who piloted the boat (and drove the bus) was lovely, had an answer for every question and could not have been more perfect for the job. Being disabled I was very nervous of getting on and off the boat but he was so helpful and kind and took time and care to ensure I was okay. The trip itself is surely one of the best ways to see the loch and Urquhart castle, and indeed to see Nessie!
We booked the trip at the Celtic Crafts shop at Nessieland and the lady there was really lovely, ensuring with the driver it would be safe for me to get on the boat with my disability before she took our money.
This is one boat trip we all want to do again next time we visit the loch.

“Must”

When visiting Loch Ness, it is a MUST to go on a boat. This boat trip was not different from any others. It did the job.

Thank you for your review although we have to stress that we are not the same as other cruises.
We carry a maximum of 12 passengers and our boat is much more spacious than the other two 12 passenger boats running out of Drumnadrochit, and most importantly we do not transfer passengers to a different company when numbers are low.
If you book with Loch Ness Cruises, you will always go out on the Nessie Hunter!
