When walking up the road to this place we were unsure what to expect and on entering the bar area it looked like quite a local pub but I have to say the staff were the most pleasant and the food we ordered way lovely. We also tried several of the real ales and they were scrummy. A hidden gem.

We were staying at a nearby B&B and this pub was recommended to us; we weren't disappointed! The atmosphere was very friendly and we were greeted like long lost friends. My husband and I both decided to try haggis for the first time and it was delicious, as was the gorgeous dessert of cream and berries. The meals were a very generous size and prices were reasonable. Highly recommended!

We had a 4 night stay at Benleva and it was an instant match, a true homecoming. Great Breakfast in the morning, ensuring plenty of energy throughout the day for your excursions, for which Benleva is the perfect location. There are enough options for Dinner to stay at least for 2 weeks. The rooms are simple but clean and quiet and the beds are excellent. Add to that great staff and management and you are bound to come back sooner or later. The pub is a great place to unwind for the day and immerse yourself in the local atmosphere with their home-brewed Lochness Beers, cheers!

Whilst staying in self-catering accommodation, we found that this was the only pub/hotel/restaurant in the area which accepted dogs. We went with our two Poodles and were all given a great welcome by the staff. We took our meals in the bar which is basic but full of local characters all of whom were really friendly. The food was most enjoyable - the Cranachan is to die for - and we never went away hungry!! The hotel is also home to the Loch Ness Brewery and had a superb selection of real ales including guest beers and more malt whiskies than I can remember (over a hundred) and nice gin too. All so good that we went three times during our stay. Highspot was the folk night when local musicians entertained us with really great music and singing.

Definitely worth a visit!!

Booked a table here for Sunday lunch as the barman said we wouldn't be able to just walk in as they are always busy. we promptly arrived at 2 and were left to find our own seats. we asked for 2 beef and 1 pork lunch and were told only beef was left so we had to settle for that. The lunch came about 10 minutes later there was 2 slices of beef a Yorkshire pudding, garden peas and 3 very small potatoes [about the size of a 50p piece]. The hotel itself was generally grubby and wouldn't have chosen to eat here normally but very limited choice in Drumnadrochit. Speaking to the locals we were told by more than one to avoid it like the plague.
