“The warmest Highland welcome imaginable. Superb !!”
Reviewed 5 September 2011

We loved our 4 day stay at Drumbuie Farm. Caroline is lovely and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in room 3 and it was lovely. The bed is soooo comfortable and all the linen and curtains etc are of the highest quality. The bathroom is beautifully finished, and it instantly felt like home. The location is fantastic too. Nice and quiet but not too far from the main road, with beautiful views of the Loch and mountains and only short walk into the village.
The breakfast is delicious and again nothing is too much trouble for Caroline. I can highly recommend the mushroom and tomato omelletes (or my 'usual' as it quickly became!!)
Caroline gave us excellent advice about where to eat in the evenings and even booked tables for us. The food in the village is fantastic, but can be on the expensive side of reasonable.
In short, if you want somewhere warm, friendly and in a fantastic location, look no further than Caroline Urquhart and Drumbuie Farm.

We have been going to Drumbuie Farm run by Craoline and Ian Urquhart for fourteen years now and have always fopund the warmest of welcomes and great breakfasts with nothing being too much trouble. This year has been even better as the bedrooms have all been completely refurbished to a very high standard with extremely comfortable beds. |Once you have arrived and experienced Carolines warm welcome you will find it heard to leave. You also have the added enjoyment of seeing the highland cattle.

Loved every minute of our stay at Drumbuie Farm. The rooms are spacious and clean with wonderful beds and bath. The breakfast room alone is a reason to return - such views over the countryside towards Loch Ness and truly amazing, FRESH food. Caroline is a warm, welcoming hostess and made our stay that much more wonderful. The farm is within walking distance of the town and the Great Glen Way trail. It is also within very close driving distance to Glen Affric with its unique and beautiful ancient Caledonian pine and birch forest. We will definitely be returning!

Drumbuie Farm is a very comfortable B&B and Caroline is a warm and friendly hostess who really cared about our holiday. She cooks up a lavish hot breakfast each morning and saw to our every need. The calves were an endless source of amusement, the views from the farmhouse are stunning, and the location makes a perfect starting point for many places of interest in the Highlands. It's truly a marvelous place to stay and we hope to return next year!

A very good and quiet place to stay in very pleasant country surroundings with a good view over Urquhart Bay. Caroline and Ian looked after us extremly well. We would have no hesitations to stay there again.

This is a dynamite B&B. The views over the glen and loch are amazing. The hostess is very helpful and considerate - booking us dinner reservations and driving us to town when necessary. It is convenient to walk the Great Glen Way or just down to the village of Drumnadrochit where you can tour the Loch Ness centers and decide for yourself if Nessie is real or just a myth.

This was undoubtedly one of the cleanest B&Bs that I've stayed in after over 3 weeks in the UK. I could even see where furniture was moved to vacuum under. And even the vents in the bathroom were clean. No dust bunnies here! But highland and other cows aplenty as well as sheep.

Breakfast was great. My husband and son really appreciated the Scottish pancakes. I loved the nice strong filter coffee. The rooms were comfortable and well stocked with towels and tea items. Our end room had corner windows and the breeze was wonderful.

Only caveats are - 1) not a great toilet. Flushing was a hit or miss and usually a miss. Just didn't seem to work well. 2) bed could be slightly better, but it wasn't bad. 3) Television reception was very very fuzzy. Okay so you shouldn't be here to watch tv anyway, right?

We stayed in 2 rooms which were both very roomy and clean. The views from the breakfast room couldn't be beaten. Loch Ness could be seen as well as the farm's Highland cattle.

Caroline served us beautiful breakfasts and gave us very good advice about what to see and do.

We were a 5 minute drive from Drumnadrochit and had a very restful stay. It was a lovely way to enjoy Loch Ness.
