“Good but not the best”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2013

This cairn is good, but the Clava cairns near Cawdor / Culloden are better and bigger, and look older. Perhaps this cairn is just too well presented, because it looks like it was built last year, not thousands of years ago. Strange but true.
If you're in the area to visit Loch Ness and Urquhart castle, it's certainly worth your time. The area around the cairn is quite beautiful. Admission and parking are free.

“Very Small Standing Stone Cairn”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 July 2013

Visiting Corrimony Cairn is a great addition to seeing the attractions in the area. The pull of the stones is not enough to draw you directly to the site but it sure added a nice little visit to the area.

The stones are very short and small and nothing like the impressive standing stones dotted around the UK. Still, I did appreciate the setting and the stillness of the area. A very peaceful visit.

“History at its best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 May 2013

We visited the Cairn while cycling in the area and thought it was fantastic, it was a real treat for my husband who's a retired archeology professor. The surrounding landscape is beautiful and the information available about the site is both informative and interesting. There's a real haunting beauty to this site and it's definitely a 'must see' attraction in this area. Wonderful, wonderful and wonderful, go and see it!

“A bit of history”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 May 2013

I love visiting old burial mounds and was glad to tick another off my long list. Built differently from the ones I've seen in England, this cairn did resemble a big pile of stones but impressive non the less with it's front entrance and stone circle surrounding it.
