“Another great stop on the Great Glen Way”
Reviewed 4 July 2013

It was a long day from Invermoriston to Lewiston (Drumnadrochit). We were welcomed by Mary who showed us our room and immediately made some welcomed coffee (and snacks...). Our room was very nice and the service excellent. Our breakfast was wonderful. We were made very welcome at Tramps and enjoyed our overnight stay. We started back on the Great Glen in excellent spirits after our stay. We recommend Tramps to anyone that may stay in the Drumnadrochit area.

Mary welcomes you with open arms to a beautifully situated home. Tea & cake await your arrival & from here Mary goes out of her way to help you. All rooms are exceptionally comfortable & spacious with a good mixture of double beds, singles with en suite bathrooms, tv & tea & coffee making facilities. Breakfast is ordered the night before & cooked to your exact requirements. Even when cooking for our hungry group of 8 tired cyclists the breakfast is delicious. Mary was a great help when sorting out our transport phoning around for us & organising boat trips etc.

Mary smiles, Mary chats, Mary makes you welcome! Tramps is an excellent B&B, we stayed there just two nights and I sincerely hope we return there soon. A comfortable, spacious room, large shower area, excellent breakfast. (Why don't we have haggis each day for breakfast back home?)

I arrived at Tramps after a very hard day on the Great Glen Cycle Trek. Mary made me very welcome with a delicious afternoon (6.30PM!) tea in the beautiful conservatory. After a great shower and rest in my immaculate and spacious room I strolled thro the beautiful village to the Loch Ness Inn for an excellent meal. Later, Mary, a great hostess, took time from her business to chat extensively and listen to my tales of adventure (misadventure in this case!).
Next morning she assisted me in with plans while I had a great breakfast and watched a pine marten gambolling in the garden.

Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent!

We stayed in this B&B as part of our Great Glen Way walk and were warmly received by the lovely Mary with a piece of home made cake & a cup of tea. Tramps is on the outskirts of Drumnadrochit, which can be a bit heavy on the legs after a long day walking. The room we were giving was their spare room and it a had a super bathroom - totally new. If you stay at Tramps you will receive 5£ discount when you eat at the Loch Ness Inn - which we did. Breakfast was very good with a wide range choices, Continental, full Scottish and eggs Balmorals. The packed lunch we had for the next day was very nice with sandwich, fruits, chocolate and crisps. All in all a very nice place to stay.

We stayed in the lodge in the garden of the B & B as part of our Great Glen Way walk and were warmly received by the lovely Mary with a piece of home made cake & a cup of tea ! It was great to have the place to ourselves and the continental breakfast was excellent with plenty to eat. Would definitely recommend this.

Room Tip: The lodge is ideal if you are travelling as a party of four or a family as it gives you more indepen...
