I'm part of a biker group who have visited several occasions now.
This was my second visit and I found Jenny the owner as welcoming as before.
Jenny is such a lovely lady, very accommodating, and makes you feel at home.
When you stay here you feel like one of the family.
The B&B is located right by the side of Loch Ness and the views are amazing.
Great place to stay, thoroughly recommend it and we will be back again.
Debbie (From Reading Branch of Honda Owners Club)
P.s Jenny is very biker friendly :-)

We turned off the road to Old Pier House from Fort Augustus. A long, long beautiful drive with Loch Ness on our right and hedges of Genitsa and foliage on our left..
Mowing the lawn were Jenny's three beautiful horses. and a warm welcome from the resident dogs. . Spectacular is all I can say. The weather sadly had turned rainy, but we were still enthralled. We only had one night booked, and we had a cosy , warm log cabin. A very good Scottish breakfast, I walked Squeak dog and we have promised ourselves a return trip for several nights. Very happy stay.

Jenny the owner was very welcoming and we had the complete run of the grounds. Unfortunately the weather had just changed from brilliant sunshine and 29 degree temperatures to misty, drizzly and 15 degree but it completed the atmosphere. If you choose to stay be prepared to be welcomed by the 2 large Labradors; not a problem if you are used to dogs. Room had everything that was needed, if a little basic, but breakfast was good. Wifi also available and worked, unlike some places.

Situated at the bottom end of loch ness in large grounds. There is a 1k drive up to the house. Jenny is incredibly interesting, climbed everest at 70! Fantastic views from breakfast room and also our room. Typical old Scottish house, wooden floors, log fires, 2 lovely old dogs and a beautiful cat live here. Really enjoyed it and would return.

have been here twice.First time 2008 in a cabin,for 5 days,very cosy big place,at Loch ness river,
there are cows and horses, amd quiet. In the cabin there are cooking and bathing facilities.
This time we were 5 adults,an"old couple",and 3 "boys"20-30 years. We had a db room with bath, and the boys a triple room with 3 beds and bath. The brekfast was ok,but we are vegetarians,so we got eggs and bread and cheese. The "boys" enjoyed the place, and the town Fort Augustus, and to sail on the river.Unfortunately we only had one night there, but we will come back

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Welcome to Old Pier House, a Highland farmhouse on the shores of Loch Ness, near the pretty village of Fort Augustus. We offer bed and breakfast in the main house open from April to October and self-catering facilities in our Loch Ness Log Cabins which are open all year round. This is a very private location on a peninsula in Loch Ness with stunning loch and mountain views yet only a ten minute walk or a two minute drive from the centre of the village. Located in the heart of the Highlands we are ideally situated as a central base for your Scottish touring holiday. We welcome walkers, cyclists, canoeists, horses and camping groups. There is plenty of parking and storage space. The 125 year old house with magnificent views has been extended to provide comfortable en-suite ground floor bedrooms, sitting rooms with log fires and a large bright breakfast room with superb views. Originally the Old Pier House was the end of the line for the West Highland Railway where big paddle steamers carried timber, cattle and people up the loch to Inverness. The old pier still remains and provides wonderful photo opportunities, a great picnic location and moorings for small boats. We have friendly Highland cattle and ponies that graze naturally on the heather hills, fields and surrounding woodlands. We speak fluent Gaelic, French, German, Italian and Spanish. ... more   less
