Situated on the Caledonian Canal where it meets Loch Ness in the centre of Fort Augustus this café is ideal. With great food, we had fish and chips which were delicious, and helpful courteous staff who made you feel welcome, you couldn't ask for more. A relaxing atmosphere while watching the boats go through the canal. Ideal if you have children too as they have a children's menu and you can also have a beer. All in all and great place to go.

After a great day out with Skye Adventures doing some amazing coasteering and rock climbing. My wife, my 3 teenage boys and oneself were starving. We were staying at the great glen water park just outside fort augustus and decided to get some hearty food to replace the energy we had used. WARNING do not go to the first place that looks, again looks ok - firstly I should have read the moorings sign in more detail - Restaurant/Takeaway = dodgy. The food is disgracefully bad, the staff are stuck up and arrogant and it is completely overpriced for not even third world offerings of rubbish. Honestly I have been to hundreds of restaurants in different places all over the world, but truthfully this place is disgraceful - this is my own opinion but truthfully we are talking shocking.

OK for a snack with a coffee but the standard was not high enough for me to consider a main meal here.

Typical little sit in or take away in a small village with no real competition.

Prices are okay, food isn't great but as it is all you can get from here it is sufficient enough.

Staff are all friendly but wouldn't go back in a hurry
