Just back from a 3 night stay here and WOW! Absolutely loved the cabins, they were beautiful, cozy and very comfortable (the beds especially). Great location and only a 5 minute walk into the village. Sue and Phil were wonderful hosts, very friendly and welcoming. Has everything you need for a lovely stay and Sues homebakes were a wonderful touch. Can’t recommend enough, hopefully will be back to stay soon. Thank you both.
Had a great time, Phil and Sue where great and so helpful. Beautiful little lodge that was perfect for our stay, so cosy.
Absolutely stunning cabins and beautiful people. Great location. We stayed in cabin 1 and it was perfect! The bed is almost too comfy it's a struggle to get up in the morning. The cabin was immaculately clean and beautifully cozy! And our hosts were fab giving us great advice for our journey onwards to Skye! I cant recommend this place enough!
Spotless... Absolutely spotless. The door opened to the smell of crisp, clean linen and the biggest comfy bed I've slept in. Home made cake and cookies in the kitchenett area. The views out the window were stunning. A buzzard in the sky behind us looking for prey. The hosts were so welcoming. We listened and took their advice when we decided to visit Skye. It was just brilliant. And the sun shone in the sky for our entire trip. We were so blessed.
Very well appointed accommodation, with those lovely extra touches of the home made cakes! The cabin was spotlessly clean, and what a super comfortable large bed. Couldn't fault the cabin, and only a few minutes walk into Fort Augustus, which has great facilities. Would have been perfect if there had been a little more individual space in front of the cabin, but this was not a major negative and the positives certainly far more than outweighed. Overall I would give a rating of 4.8, definitely more than 4 but not quite 5 out of 5. Thanks Philip for being so welcoming and making our stay comfortable and relaxing.
Just home this evening after a perfect 2 night stay in this cosy cabin. Only wish was that we could have stayed longer.
We stayed in Cabin 1, which was just perfect for us. It was spotless, very comfy bed, great shower and has a small compact kitchen with everything you would need. We also really enjoyed Sue's cakes which were waiting for us on arrival. We were really lucky and had great weather, so enjoyed the patio area outside the cabin.
Cabin is only 5 mins walk into Fort Augustus, which is a lovely village with a few bars and restaurants. We ate at The Boathouse, had a couple of drinks in the Bothy and would highly reccommend a cruise on Loch Ness.
Like to explore different places, but will hopefully be back here soon.
We are just back from walking the Great Glen Way and used the 2 cabins as a base for 4 nights and everyone in the party loved them! They had everything we needed, were cosy, spotless and surrounded by the most peaceful beautiful scenery. All we could hear were the birds! We have already recommended the cabins to friends who are considering a similar walking holiday. For us it was much better than a different B&B every night. The cabins are only 5 minutes walk to the bars of Fort Augustus and the Great Glen Way passes at the bottom of the drive, so this was a huge bonus on the walking days that finished and then started in Fort Augustus. Sue was so friendly and helpful and we arrived to some delicious cakes waiting for us. We would also stay again if we are in that area.
