“Peaceful and Perfect for Two”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

The Wee Res is a delightful one-bedroom holiday let. The flat is on the ground floor of a 2 storey terrace. The neighbours on either side and above are all quiet. The house is well-equipped (apart from the lack of wi-fi - the only reason why this is not a 5-star review) and decorated with delightful artistic touches. Sadly, the weather was so good that we didn't have the chance to try the real fuel fire!
Foyers is half-way down the quiet side of Loch Ness, half an hour from either Inverness or Fort Augustus. There's plenty of walking, cycling and touring in the area. Although Foyers is small, it offers various eating places, starting with the Waterfall Cafe (and shop).
Enrica was a helpful but unobtrusive owner.

hi! thank you for your review and so glad you had a good time. I have looked into the wifi idea but unfortunately I don't really feel that I can afford the expense on top of the bills (those storage heaters are atrocious) and the cleaners, repairs etc... Had I been a much bigger self catering with relative charges I would certainly do it. However, the Foyers falls and the Cameron tea shop, just a stone throw from the house, both offer free wifi and I believe that quite a few people managed to get it through open BT or 3G. I do hope that that will not stop you from coming again! All the very best. Enrica.

“Great wee dog friendly house”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 March 2014 for a stay in February 2014

Comfortable, cosy, well equipped cottage, with convenient parking on doorstep and added bonus of open fire and enclosed garden for my four legged friend. Pub/hotel, shop/cafe within easy walking distance and lots of lovely walks nearby. The owner Enrica was very friendly and helpful and a dog lover like myself. Great to find cosy wee res that is happy to accommodate well behaved dogs. Thank you Enrica.

“So peaceful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

Just home from a week at the Wee Residence - so quiet and peaceful. Accommodation excellent and very comfortable. Great walks on the doorstep and would definitely recommend as a place to get away from it all. Many thanks.

A brilliant little place to stay for those wishing to make the best of the superb Highlands of Scotland. Foyers itself is lovely little place and only about twenty minuets from Inverness. The Wee Res is warm, clean and comfortable with everything you need especially the open fire after a day out hiking. We will be returning to the Wee Res again.

I liked this well managed, comfortable 1-bed ground floor flat near the banks of Loch Ness. It was clean and private with a pleasant well fitted kitchen and convenient parking for a small car at the door. Hostess Enrica was friendly and helpful. The shower could do with better water pressure and Inverness - ½ hour away along narrow roads with passing places - was the nearest decent shopping but I enjoyed my stay. It was peaceful and I would return for a longer stay. Thank you for your kindness Enrica.

“A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting, hassle-free holidaying”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We loved the Wee Residence. Very cosy and in such a quiet and beautiful location. We had everything we needed and enjoyed returning in the evenings to sit in front of the fire. We'd have no hesitation in staying there again, next time we'll take the dog too!
