The Falls of Foyers is a significant waterfall and relatively easy to get to if you are taking the drive on the east side of Loch Ness. The trail down to the first overlook is steep enough to be a concern for any person with mobility issues. Once you get to the overlook, the view is definitely worth the exertion. My main complaint is that the information at the top (parking area) isn't specific about viewpoints or how far to the viewpoints. I'm not sure if there was a good viewing area at the base of the falls and I believe that there is a second falls I missed. I enjoyed what I did, but more information might have made my experience that much better.

To get there you have already been on an adventure. You follow the signs , go the back way,up steep, single track tarmacadam roads, amid the highland woodlands,on until you come across the small settlement as if transported from somewhere else to the middle of no- where. Follow the signs ,a parking spot may be available next to the cafe.Directly opposite ,the entrance, off you go on down the rough well made pathway and steps, lovely and broad to bound down if you so wish.Huge pines tower over you as you head down, till you come to the viewing spot and there are the falls. One of the most beautiful places in the world, a place to love .

A beautiful waterfall that is well worth the steep climb back up the steps after you have seen it. Well laid out steps down to the waterfall, with an upper and lower viewing point. We continued the walk down to Foyers which was well worth it on a gorgeous day to end up on the shores of Loch Ness. Toilet facilities and picnic tables at the top of the walk next to the car park. Well worth a visit!
