“What a find indeed”
Reviewed 21 September 2012

We stayed here while walking Great Glen Way. Received a very warm welcome and great advice on local amenities and spots to visit. Studio was spotless with great shower and big bed to ease the days aches away. Breakfast was superb and set us up for the walk ahead.

We stayed at Lann Dearg for one night while walking the GGW....what a find! In a great location right on the Way and only a short walk from the pub. We received a warm welcome and the accommodation is excellent - very spacious and comfortable with a huge bed. The studio was very well equipped with everything we needed to make our night there very relaxed and comfortable, the bathroom was large and the shower nice and powerful. Breakfast, which was per-ordered the night before was very good with lots of choice.

We stayed here after walking from South Lagganwhile walking the Great Glen Way and wow what a big bed and the room had many extras (chocolates on the bed)
We were made to feel very welcome and its only a short stroll to the pub for our evening meal.
The breakfast was very tasty especially the greek yogurt with bananas and mixed berries.
We would love to stay here some time in the future.

Great location (quiet little village, could hear the waterfall just outside the house; though central between the main Highlands routes). Extensive facilities (loved the leaflet case, the enormous bed and the kitchen). Very kind and helpful hosts. Would definitely stay here again!

We had such a lovely break. We chose the self catering option and we could not fault anything, it was all we could have asked for. The view from the Superior studio was spectacular, I sat there looking out every morning with a coffee, what a way to wake up!! Pat & Val were so welcoming explaining everything we needed to know about the studio. If you decide to book this studio you will not regret it but hurry as they get booked quickly!

We stayed here for 3 nights and don't think I could have picked anywhere better. We had the superior studio on B&B basis and it had everything we needed. For the first 2 nights we took the option of having breakfast in our studio so the basket was delivered to us the night before. it's great to have the use of a toaster, kettle and microwave in the studios, I've never come across this in a B&B before. The room was very spacious and absolutely spotless. There was a wealth of information on things to do in the surrounding areas. Val, the owner, was very friendly and helpful telling us some history of the area and telling us about walks. On our last morning we had the cooked breakfast in the main house, this was very good and came out nice and hot. This is served between 8 & 9am which is a bit early for me and the reason I didn't take it other mornings. When I'm on holiday I really don't want to have to set an alarm. Other than that, this places was simy superb and I will definitely be back and highly recommend it.

absolutely perfect location right on the Great Glen Way. Val and Pat were so welcoming and Pat even dropped us off at our next day's starting point rather than letting us get the bus as we had planned. I don't want to sound too gushing but it was just what we wanted. The breakfast was particularly good with an alternative to the full Scottish of Greek yogourt and fruit. Loved it.

Thank you for this review. We are really pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and appreciated the short lift to Alt Sigh to continue on the Great Glen Way. This is a good way to extend the leg from Fort Augustus to us and shorten the next stage to Drumnadrochit a bit. We do offer this service to walkers on request. Best wishes Val & Pat.
