Lovely smoked haddock, salty just right, smelled great and tasted godly.
Sauvignon was excellent - and this is not a tiny imperfection of just this restaurant, but no restaurant we´d visited in Scotland could serve wines (after openning a bottle the waiter should smell the cork-if right and hand it to an ordering person to smell it, pour a small amount of wine in a glass of an ordering person to inspect, smell and taste it - if all right, pour to all drinking people at the table - just a half of the glass or even less, not to the top!!!!!!!!!!!!! and to the "taster" as last).
Why not to the very top? When wine is poured to the very top, there is no room in a glass left for developing the special aroma, and the wine warms up easily and quickly when full glass is filled. The wine looses its taste and sparkle.
