“Great Glen Great Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 October 2013

Arrived and had Monday menu. Great staff ,fabulous food, could not be faulted. Do not get small amount of negative reviews. Not really a bar menu as it was evening but one of the best meals I have had. Proud to be Scottish and witnessing the service and quality of the food available.

“Middle of the road”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 September 2013 via mobile

Our meal was okay, but not exceptional. I had the pate which was quite good but served a large portion to go with three oatcakes. Salmon for the main course was fine. Wine list is limited. Decor is nice and staff personable.

“Something trying to be something it is not”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2013

The venue is lovely, but the food does not reflect this, the chef was off and the menu was limited, the main was fine a little bit more would have been nice, the dessert was awful it was like a tin of peaches had been opened and bread crumbs scattered over them, it was not nice and overpriced for what is served. Shame it could be a real gem

“Nice place and people but average food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 August 2013

We went to the Glenmoriston Arms Hotel while we were staying in Invermoriston.

Firstly, I have to say that the staff are very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They were definitely the high point of the hotel.

The restaurant was fully booked when we were there (it was August after all) so we ate in the bar. The bar was a bit tired but comfortable enough (not much ambiance though). The menu was quite extensive but the food itself was not very consistent in relation to quality. The starters were excellent but the main courses were only average and the desserts were a disappointment. The food was over priced for the quality provided. I would recommend visiting the bar and having a drink and perhaps a starter, have a nice chat with the bar staff and then go elsewhere for dinner.

“Top quality food with great taste”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2013

The dining room at the Glenmoriston Arms is one that you will not regret eating at.
Firstly the tables are set out beautifully with cutlery and plates arranged up there with the best. The menu is varied and interesting and included 4 specials the night we ate.
I had the Cod and Salmon pasta, done in a dill cream sauce. Whilst it was not a large portion it was one of the most flavoursome meals I have had for a long time. This is a chef who loves his food and I believe that is the only way to cook food with love and care.
My wife has the chicken and choritzo Penne with a basil sauce and it too was delicious.
Desert was needed as we were both still peckish so we settled on a cheese plate. 4 styles; blue (mild to my palate but nice) Brie, a cheddar and a smoked piece. With crackers, celery chutney and apple slices it completed a delicious meal.

Highly recommended if you enjoy nice food in a decent setting without silly price tags.
