“A room with a view!”
Reviewed 23 May 2013 via mobile

Having driven to Applecross first via Bealach na Ba it was great to see Spindrift on the horizon. I'm pleased there are two roads that lead to Spindrift (we left via the road to Shieldaig!) however, I'm pleased we experienced Bealach na Ba and that it was my husband driving!

Spindrift lived up to our expectations of being a remote hideaway. The studio type apartment that Sue and Andy have is just perfect. It is a light and airy room with a big window looking out across the sea to the islands. Its easy to just relax and sit and stare out of the window at the view. Its very peaceful and we had no mobile phone signal so it felt like you could literally close off to the rest of the world.

The studio is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. In addition to the comfy bed there's the sofa or little table and chairs to relax at. Each having its own view out to sea.

The bathroom is very modern with a big shower unit and all the essentials. With the addition of the little kitchen with the fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery and utensils you can either stay in or go out for food in nearby Applecross. We only stayed for one night and during the day we'd had a late lunch at the Walled Garden restaurant in Applecross. We then purchased some of the frozen lamb stew they had for sale in their deli and bought additional goodies at the shop in Applecross. All microwaveable! A perfect and yummy meal in the comfort of the studio later on.

Breakfast served by Sue the next day was very tasty and enjoyable sat at the little table. We pre-ordered the night before and requested a time that suited. All served on time.

Sue was a great host and gave us all the information but generally left us to it. Although the studio is part of the main house the fact it had its own door means you can come and go as you please.

A great little hideaway. Definitely recommend.

Two nights were never going to be enough for the our stay at Spindrift. Comfort, space, views, breakfast, surroundings everything and all of it was amazing. Book it now before it goes on the 'schhh.... don't tell anyone' list.

All of this because Sue and Andy have set up the nicest b&b you could wish for.

We stayed three nights here and found it to be excellent in all respects.
The self contained ground floor studio apartment is very modern, well equipped and comfortable with an excellent view across the sea to the Western Isles.
The owners, Andy and Sue, were very friendly and welcoming.
If its peace and quiet in a wonderful setting that you're after, look no further.

We arrived in Applecross with no accommodation booked and we were delighted when we arrived at Spindrift and saw the apartment! A haven of tranquility! I loved the beach theme which the room was tastefully decorated with, great attention to detail! The Cath Kiston kitchenware was lovely, I was very impressed.
We had a great breakfast and Sue made us feel very welcome.
We hope to come back and maybe we will be lucky enough to catch a good sunset, we didnt want to leave and wished we could have stayed for longer

I had the pleasure of staying at Sprindrift for a week in March.
I was blown away by the views and can honestly say that I had
the most restful sleep that I have had in years. The apartment
is very tastefully decorated and has a very contemporary style.

Most impressive were the thoughtful touches like milk
for tea and cereal and jams in the kitchen as well as books
and brochures featuring things to do while in the area.
It was immaculate and Sue and Andy could not have
been any more gracious in their hospitality.

I can't wait to go back!! It was truly the best experience
I ever had in a bed and breakfast! Five stars accommodations!
Thank you so very much for a memorable week in Applecross!!

Room Tip: Book way ahead, Spindrift is well worth the journey!

This B&B is truly stunning. The Accomodation itself is like your own private bit of heaven looking out to sea. Very tastefully decorated like a trendy cosy beach house. Sue and Andy the owners couldn't do enough for us. The breakfasts were out of this world - homemade bread was the highlight.
Could definitely recommend this for a romantic getaway or just a good rest to chill and read a book with the stunning view as the backdrop.
Will definitely be back.
Thank you for our fabulous stay.

My husband and I stayed the weekend in this beautiful accommodation in the picturesque location of Applecross. Our self contained apartment was gorgeous. With fabulous views across the sea to the islands. The accommodation was spotless clean and fresh and fitted out to a high spec. It's lovely owners did us a beautiful breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend as a haven of peacefulness.
