My wife brought me to the Coul House Hotel as a birthday treat, and it was great. There was an excellent warm welcome followed by attentive service throughout. The restaurant's food is high standard, and the wines are fine too. Nothing appears to be too much trouble to the friendly staff. Open log fires lit just before you want them. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, though still with a feeling that you're being spoiled, and definitely treated as individuals rather than being processed to a formula. Fine whisky selection as well! Highly recommended.

Decided to pop into Coul House for lunch on a recent trip up north, as it was recommended to us by a friend. Very glad we did! This was our first trip with our toy poodle, Missie and we were surprised to find this beautiful hotel was dog-friendly. We had a lovely lunch - great food, well presented. We'll definitely be back to stay for longer next time. Many thanks for great service!

We have just returned from a three night break in this hotel and everything about it was just lovely. Owners, manager and staff were welcoming and warm, nothing was too much trouble and it did what it said on the tin, it was "deliciously relaxing".
If you eat dinner in the hotel (recommended as the food is fabulous) try to leave room for desert! The sweet menu is very different and very lovely, even if on first reading oatmeal, marmalade and whisky ice cream is hard to get your head around!
The grounds of the hotel provided a great playground for the dog and she enjoyed the fuss that was made of her. We will definitely go back.

I was lucky enough to spend a weekend here for my wedding earlier this year. The Coul House exceeded all expectations. The food was delicious, the venue amazing and the service the best we have ever experienced. They looked after not only us but every single one of our guests amazingly. In fact my friends still say they were treated like royalty. We couldnt have asked for a more special day and the Coul House did everything to make it a memorable occasion. Thanks to you all.

My wife and I visit the Coul House every year. We spent our wedding night here and think its only right to come back for our anniversary.

The service is spectacular and the food to match! The hotel meets your every need and more!

We are always made to feel special and you just don't want to leave. It's such a beautiful place with an excellent surrounding.

Worth every penny!

We just spent two nights at Coul House Hotel to celebrate a special birthday. It was such a lovely experience! A big thank you to Stuart, Susannah and all the staff - everyone was very friendly and professional. Our room was gorgeous and really comfortable and clean, with beautiful views to the hills. Sam the dog loved it too - we looked for a long time to find a nice place to stay where we could also take the dog and we were all delighted with Coul House. The food was delicious and the service was faultless. We loved exploring the gardens with the fairies and scaries trail. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough - would most definitely go back and love the sound of 'Dogmanay'. Thank you for a perfect couple of days away. We also really appreciated the November room deal with offered excellent value for money.

Having driven up the A9 last Tuesday in sleet and snow it was lovely to be welcomed by a roaring fire in the entrance hall. We had stayed here a couple of years ago and had always said we would come back as the
hospitality we received was excellent. Stuart and Susannah are brilliant
hosts and welcome you into their home which has a super family atmosphere. The girls in the dining room were so pleasant. The food as always was excellent. We had a lovely large room looking out to the hills and it was so cosy, a very comfortable bed and lovely bed linen. I would suggest that something to be considered perhaps in a couple of rooms is to swop the bath for a walk in shower---me having had a recent broken ankle and my husband both hips replaced that would be more friendly. We were very lucky to get "a deal" having phoned the day before travelling, so thank you Stuart. I got some cards from Susannah to hand out to friends as this is definitely a place to stay.

Room Tip: Choose a room looking to the hills.
