Good Pizza, Cromarty beer (Cowabunga IPA - superb), nice staff and wonderful cooking smells. Quaint would describe the experience.

We had been on a dolphin tour and needed a quick lunch and what a treat! We did not expect to find such great pizzas in this small place, but they were great
We had just about given up hope of getting any lunch in Cromarty when we stumbled upon this place and we were so glad we did. A bit quirky but the food was excellent and service first class. I can also echo other reviews about the Red Kite ale.
Visiting Scotland from Australia and this gem was recommended by Secret Scotland. We enjoyed our visit to the Black Isles all the more with a fabulous casual dinner at Sutor Creek. The Black Isles Ale Red Kite organic beer is fabulous we then shared some fresh cooked Asparagus and then the Surf and Turf Pizza. There is lots of variety on the menu so pizza is not the only option. The service is friendly and fast. You need to book as it is a small restaurant and very popular.
We live locally and have used the restaurant under its pervious owners many times but this was the first visit with the Foxes in charge. If you look at their website you will see their track history and this is proven when you savour the food.
The small but welcoming restaurant is known for it's wide variety of home made pizzas cooked in an authentic pizza oven, however when you venture onto the A La Carte menu the experience really happens. Graham Fox really can produce 5 star cuisine ( not food ).
My wife and I decided at the last minute to go there because it was my big bus pass birthday and managed to get a table. We were placed in a little alcove in the window by the entrance which might on first sight appear the worst seat in the house but is actually very intimate and you can watch the world go by without listening to your neighbours conversation.
Service was very friendly, but the food was fantastic. Limited to 4 choices for each course, I always feel that this indicates the food is going to be fresh. We both had Lemon Soaked Hake as our main dish which was superb. It melted in the mouth. I can still savour in my mind's eye 24 hours later.
Best meal we have had in many years.
Well done. We will be back very soon.
