“A must for any visitor to Cromarty”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 April 2012

Hugh Miller was a 19th Century Geologist, writer and naturalist. Both his birthplace cottage and the house he lived in for a while after marrying are evocative of the era. Some rooms are set up as in the period, others form a gallery telling Hugh's story. There are samples of his geological discoveries. This is a National Trust for Scotland property and a gem in a wonderful little town. However please do check opening times before planning a visit and it might even be worth calling the property. I have in the past found the opening hours not as originally advertised.
