“Excellent presentation”
Reviewed 18 June 2014 via mobile

The story of Miller's life and work is wonderfully presented with just the right amount of detail for non-experts like myself. The house and cottage are in excellent condition and the gardens are a delight. Nice staff, too.

Very interesting and fascinating, and very detailed in history, really enjoyed looking around his cottage and hearing his story

“Enjoyable”
Reviewed 16 May 2014

Even though it was slightly expensive, it was an interesting experience to do whilst in Cromarty.

The garden, though it was still spring was coming to life.. The house seeing the way he lived, was full of facts

“A fascinating and well told story”
Reviewed 25 October 2013 via mobile

On our first trip to cromarty the museum and house weren't open and so we made a special trip back and we weren't disappointed. Now in the care of the national trust it was a delight and pleasure to spend an hour or so learning more about the man. His story is really well told and the exhibits well laid out, you can almost feel his presence. Do opt for the audio guide for the second part of the visit, to the cottage he was born in. One final bit of praise for the two delightful ladies who were on duty and made us feel most welcome. A must see if you are in cromarty.

“What a gem”
Reviewed 19 October 2013

We arrived in Cromarty in mid-October not really knowing what to expect but decided to view this attraction - what a well presented museum focussing on an important but little known character! The two buildings and gardens give much food for thought.
