I stayed here with my husband for a night as part of a driving tour around the highlands. It is an absolutely delightful place to stay. We were slightly nervous as some of the reviews have talked about the hotel being a bit faded but we didn't find this to be the case at all. Yes, the hotel is a bit old fashioned, but in an absolutely charming way. Our room was lovely, absolutely spotless with a view over the loch. We had the most amazing dinner in the restaurant here - amongst the best food I've ever eaten. The manager is lovely and she went out of her way to check we had everything we needed. I would love to stay here again.

We spent 3 nights in this lovely hotel. Torridon mountains and the Ross peninsula are probably the best things we saw in Scotland, and this hotel was wonderful. We had a room in the newest part which was quite large and we'll decorated, with sea views on 2 sides. Food at the hotel's restaurant was great (both dinner and breakfast) and service was perfect.

Stopped here, by chance, for a bar lunch during a week in the North West Highlands. The crab cakes with salad and homemade lemon mayonnaise was my best meal of the week - and that in a week of really good eating. My partner's smoked salmon was also delicious. The staff were attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. I cannot comment on the hotel but with food and service like this it surely can't be too bad!

A thirty minute drive here for dinner, and we were all pretty happy. The WIFI was an important draw for us, and we were warned by the apologetic and friendly staff that we would probably have a long wait because it was such a busy evening, but between catching up with emails and enjoying the gorgeous view from the terrace, we were happy to wait. The food was quite enjoyable, as was the wine - we paid 126 GBP for dinner for four people, which I think is reasonable - we all had starters, main course, and only two had desserts (we had our wine by the glass). This place seemed to be a real hub of activity in an otherwise very quiet village.

Wow, what an amazing location, on the edge of loch Torridon, I know Scotland has lots of amazing locations, but this really is one of the best. Totally surpassed my expectations, this hotel was fabulous. Lovely rooms, overlooking the water (choose a front room), The restaurant was simply amazing, the daily changing menu was excellent, the food was cooked to perfection. I eat out a lot and was this was so impressive. Very friendly staff and a very big thankyou to the young staff member who runs half marathons in her spare time..........she was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and shemade us so very welcome!!

Our only mistake, we left such a good hotel until the end of our trip and we should have spent more than two nights there......the location is wonderful and there so much walking to do in the area.

We will definitely be back!

Other reviews reflect the quality of the welcome and location. We arrived on a perfect summer day and things got better from there. The staff were warm and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The location is beautiful. The hotel is 20 yards from a beautiful loch, affording sunsets on the water. Our room looked over the loch. The restaurant served a menu changed daily. We had langoustines, lamb, guinea fowl and home made ice cream. The amuse bouche were clever and tasty. The wine list catered for every taste. The staff were professional and very helpful.

Room Tip: Room 4 was brilliant

The village is a very nice place: quiet and with beautiful viewes. The hotel is just by the beach - but it is far to expensive. We paid 130 p for a room - and it was not anything special. The reastaurant is very ekspensive too. Find an other place to stay in village.
