Stayed at the Torridon for a few nights with my wife in May, as a base for exploring the area. We were made instantly welcome on arrival and throughout our stay. Dinner in the restaurant was outstanding and the staff attentive throughout the hotel. The whisky bar was great for pre-dinner drinks and also a few too many nightcaps. we ate at the Inn the other two nights as we fancied slightly less fine dining food and that was very good also.

Thank you for taking the time to review us. Another warm welcome awaits should you return and I’m sure there must still be a whisky or two still to be tried! Regards, Dan and Rohaise

For our honeymoon I looked for a hotel from google with description: In the middle of nowhere and Scotland. This was the hotel that I found and I immediately thought we have to go here. The Torridon was perfect luxury for a honeymoon. It is a beautiful place and the journey to get there is also amazing. The room was really comfortable and we had the best sleep we have ever had. The whisky bar was also really good and I found the first whisky I ever liked. The Breakfast is delicious. It doesn't get better than this!

Our only complaint is that we had only booked one night in this stunning hotel. Fabulous welcome with complimentary homemade cake and tea on arrival, luxuriously comfy room, excellent service and a wonderful dinner in the main hotel restaurant. Breakfast too was excellent, no complaints, would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a bit of luxury while touring Scotland.

We stayed for 3 nights. On arrival, our bags were taken to our room and our car valet parked. Initial impression of the hotel was a fabulous location but a more traditional look and feel than we expected from browsing the website prior to booking. The building and decor may be traditional but the quality is excellent and we couldn't really fault our experience. Our Master suite was very big and very well equipped, with a view to take your breath away from a huge bay window looking out of the garden to the Loch. With the oversized armchairs and footstools, it was a perfect alternative to the Library when we wanted to relax with tea or coffee, read and just admire the scenery. The bathroom was huge and spotless, with a separate shower. The breakfast menu was traditional but extensive and delicious, with no variation too much trouble (we challenged them on several occasions!). The set dinners offered a choice of main course and were as good as many a top restaurant in far less remote places, using ingredients from the very impressive kitchen garden (a stroll around which is recommended). While the Activity Centre offers a wide choice of things to do, we stuck to a guided hike in the hills, from where the views are even better - weather permitting, of course. Service was friendly yet highly professional throughout our stay. Overall, while it's an expensive experience, we could quite see why The Torridon has won many accolades and would highly recommend it if you are looking for the perfect blend of relaxation and activity in a stunning location.

Room Tip: Ask for one overlooking the gardens and Loch.

We stayed here for 4 nights in the summer of 2012. We managed near perfect weather, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was our first trip to Scotland, and and were fortunate to get a recommendation for the Torridon from our travel agent. Great food, great staff, and very nice accommodations. We hiked, biked, kayaked and learned to like our oatmeal with a bit of whisky for breakfast :-) I'm a flyfisherman, and the hotel arranged a guide from a nearby estate, and I enjoyed catching brown trout. I highly recommend The Torridon!

It is always great to receive feedback that is so positive. The ghillie from the local estate is a great guy and really makes the fishing experience. Thank you for your review. Regards, Dan & Rohaise
