This cottage is the cutest little thing and we had a really wonderful time. The bedroom, bathrooms and fires were so lovely - we couldn't have had a nicer time and our little spaniel definately never wanted to leave!! We will be going back :)

Lovely cottage in a fantastic location. Homely and lived in, with many personal touches. Short walk to loch, and much to explore in the area.

“Wonderful setting, cosy home away from home”

Me and my partner spent a fantastic 4 days at durrie cottage, the cottage is located opposite the loch with the mountains behind it, the views from the windows were stunning. The cottage itself was well equipped with everything you would need, it's spacious and cosy at the same time with an excellent selection of books and information on the local area. Sheila who lives behind the cottage was very helpful and on hand if you needed anything. We will definitely be back.

“So cosy and perfect location”

We stayed for 3 nights in March. Weather atrocious first two days but never mind that! The cottage is perfect, looking right out over the sea loch and and situated at the foot of the mountains. A mix of old and new. Posh shower and bath combined with old wooden V lined walls, arm chairs and lovely open fire. Loads of character and history in the cottage makes it special. Will definitely come back.

“This place lived up to all my expectations.”

During a week of howling gales, torrential rain and regular snow showers, the accommodation has to be something special: cosy, warm, practical and interesting to shelter in. A few touches of luxury, like the spanking new bathroom with underfloor heating, plus the highly efficient and friendly neighbour who greeted us on arrival were most welcome. When the clouds lifted for a short while, the view from every window was stunning. I shall go back at the first opportunity.....so please don't book the same week that I want :-)

Management Response
20 Nov 2014
Thanks for your review Marie. We’re pleased that you loved the view as much as we do but very sorry to hear that you thought the cottage could have been cleaner. We hear that the spiders have been enjoying the unusually dry weather so we’ve invested in an extendable feather duster to make sure we can reach any out of reach cobwebs. We’re at a loss to explain where any dust might have come from but Sheila who looks after the cottage takes great pride in keeping it spotless and will always pop round to make things right if guests let her know that they're not happy.

Great little cottage with good view over the loch. Fantastic, remote location and nicely priced too.

Everything you would need for a few days stay is supplied, the rooms are a good size, there was only two of us staying in the cottage but could easy sleep more.
