I have travelled for many years but have to say the 'Walking Shetland' holiday with 'Shetland Wildlife' has been one of the best times I have had.
The walks were varied and unrushed which meant that I was able to actually watch the wildlife and take lots of pictures. From orcas to otters, gannets to puffins, we were given the time and opportunity to see all. A wonderful walk at Hermaness meant I got photos of puffins bringing back sand eels - what an experience!!
Our guide, Mick, was patient, very knowledgeable and excellent at spotting anything moving or stationary. His passion for wildlife- particularly otters - made sightings both fun and exciting. Running across cliff tops 'chasing orcas' with Hugh and others felt like storm chasing!!
The accommodation was excellent and Keith and his team at the Spiggie Hotel were brilliant. The place felt like home.
For anyone wanting a holiday that combines walking, wildlife, photography and good company, I would definitely recommend 'Walking Shetland.'
