Stayed her for one night with family to celebrate parents Golden Anniversary. Excellent location with great views from windows. All staff very polite & friendly. We had dinner & breakfast which was lovely and served with a smile. All the rooms we had were spotless, the family rooms were very spacious. Children enjoyed the swimming pool. Will be arranging another visit soon.

Room Tip: seaview rooms

We had a wonderful short break with friends at the Hotel, and could not fault any aspect of the hotel or the staff> Our rooms were immaculate, and the views across to Arran stunning. Meals were excellent, and staff all very polite and well presented. A query we had was dealt with qucikly and efficiently. Defenately be back. Top marks all round.

We were delighted with the whole experience at the Hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the food was superb.
6 (Men) stayed sharing rooms and value we received was exceptional. Standard rooms were small - ish and we had to move twin beds apart to give individual space but other than that we enjoyed our stay very much.

Booked this trip as a surprise for my boyfriend and I and it was perfect. Excellent location on the beachfront about a 20 minute walk form Scotts Restaurant at the harbour where we had dinner on the Friday night. Hotel room was spotless, well equiped, decent power shower and had the most comfortable bed.
When we arrived back at the hotel on the Friday after dinner we had a drink in the bar but it was a bit quiet. Breakfast was freshly made and a good selection, and followed by a stroll along the beach to work it all off. Definately go back, thanks to all the staff

My fiance and I enjoyed a break here for a couple of days over the weekend.

Nice from the outside, rooms were of decent spec and spacious, views were superb, food was just ok, alcohol was expensive but to be expected.

On the downside its far enough away from the town so that you dont venture far, the bar in the hotel is ok but lacks variety and a bit of atmosphere. General layout of the hotel is a little odd - reception is hid away, bar is like a hall, restaurant is little like a rabbit warren.

Service all round was good. Would recommend for golfers and folk who just want some peace and quiet.

We booked this hotel for a night away for a special occasion after reading good reviews and seeing the lovely views. Sadly we were left very dissapointed. The room was small but nicely appointed, however in the bathroom there was paint coming off the walls and everytime we had a shower the bathroom flooded as there was no seal on the shower guard. After spending five minutes mopping up the water with towels in the bathroom we informed the reception, where we were offered another room to shower in, which is not what we expect of a 4* hotel. Then after asking for replacement towels, we came back to find fresh towels thrown on our bed and the sodden towels left on the bathroom floor! There were renovation works going on at the front of the property which effect sea views however we understand this is a necessary part of the buildings upkeep, however it would have been nice to have been informed of this prior to booking. After taking the time to speak to the hotel manager about these issues in what was meant to be a relaxing break away, they haven't even had the courtesy to get back to me.

In conclusion, I think this hotel is overpriced for the quality you recieve based on our visit and the level of service leaves a lot to be desired.
