“A really good little cafe off the beaten track”
Reviewed 29 June 2013

This is just behind the railway station an opposite to municipal golf course (corner of Harling Drive and Golf Crescent). It serves a very good selection of cakes and coffees and the service is bright and cheerful. The inside is reminiscent of a cricket or bowls club pavillion - very welcoming and cheery with daily newspapers on hand for customers.
Well worth finding.

“Great little quirky cafe - good value!”
Reviewed 27 May 2013

Friendly service and great value for an informal lunch, breakfast rolls, cakes and coffees. They also do take-aways and there are some tables outside on a patio area for dog-walkers, cyclists, golfers and everyone else when the sun shines!

“Cafe in a quiet corner - great coffee”
Reviewed 2 April 2013

Greeted with a warm welcome on a cold day in this small, cosy café located by the railway station in a corner opposite the municipal golf course. It is not in the town centre and all the more pleasant for that.

Called in for coffee on a cold day and spied some very tempting cakes on the counter; couldn't resist. The fruit cake was one of the most delicious and moist I have ever eaten and the coffee was lovely, again one of the most enjoyable I have had.

The gentleman running the café was extremely pleasant and overall it was very relaxing place - noticed the newspapers for customers on a table in the dining area. Small, cosy and clean.

The café also serves meals, sandwiches, etc., and does take out.

I shall most certainly return.
