We wanted to have a look at south Ayrshire without paying an extortionate price for accommodation. The Old Sweetie shop was well equipped and suited us admirably.
We stayed the weekend in crosshill for our sons wedding at nearby dalduff wedding venue, the house was first class, stephen met us as we arrived. cannot talk highly about the house, everything we needed was there, i would like to thank stephen once again and would recommend the old sweetie shop to everyone,
We visited to attend a nearby wedding. Whilst we had a few niggles when we arrived (no wifi, central heating or hot water) the host did rectify these as soon as he was home. The bacon, eggs, etc is a lovely touch.
It's a fab base if you want a weekend away without distractions as phone signal is non-exsistent, tv signal is sporadic, etc, however for us this was a minus (we both had work deadlines to meet).
The place itself is fine, and good value for money, though as someone who's a bit anal when it comes to cleanliness, it was a little dirty for me (though for most people it would probably be fine!).
Overall if you want cheap and cheerful I'd recommend!
This is our second time staying at the Old Sweetie Shop.
The house is very clean has everything you want and has easy access to all Ayr and the rest of the district .
Any questions about the house or the area the owner is on hand if you need him.
Will definitely book this property in the future when visiting Scotland again.
Would highly recommend it to all.
Stayed for 2 nights here. Was excellent value for money. A quiet place which is what we were looking for. Groceries provided was a very kind thought very much appreciated.
