The old sweetie shop in Maybole Scotland was very comfortable and not expensive..Although i was only there a few hours on business, i had a great sleep in a very comfortable bed on a very quiet road ...

Great place to explore Ayrshire. Small but perfectly adequate for two. Only downside is Crosshill lacks any pub or place to eat out but excellent pub/restuarant at Kirkmichael.

“Ideal spot for a short break!”
Reviewed 9 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

The Old Sweetie Shop cottage was spot on!
A small, comfortable well equipped one bedroomed cottage in a nice quite village.
Within easy reach of Girvan, Turnberry, Maybole and Ayr.
We were attending a wedding on the outskirts of the village so it was perfect for us.
Apart from being comfortable and well equipped, the owner had stocked the fridge with basics for us which were very much appreciated.
I would not hesitate to use again if I was in the area or to recommend it to others.

“Everything you need at a reasonable price”

We wanted to have a look at south Ayrshire without paying an extortionate price for accommodation. The Old Sweetie shop was well equipped and suited us admirably.
