Wow! What can we say but thanks for your review. Coming from another B&B owner your review was very flattering and humbling. Thank you again and best of luck in your endeavors. Keep that mill running!

My wife and I decided we needed a celebration trip for our 40th wedding anniversary. We picked the Smokie Mountain area as our destination. our kids found this B&B through their friends and booked us a two night stay.
Mary and Jim made us feel right at home and the most helpful hosts with helping us tour the mountains and the area around Maryville. Our stay couldn't have been more perfect. Morning sunrise from the hot tub to see the sun come up over the mountains and the restaurant suggestions and help with reservations was fabulous.
We will highly recommend this stay to family and friends.

Room Tip: The room over the garage with the hot tub is a must.

I purchased this amazing getaway package thru a Living Social for my husband's birthday and we both could not have been more pleased with every aspect of our experience! Jim and Mary are the most delightfully fun hosts I've ever encountered! The spacious log home is impeccably clean and inviting.
We stayed in the Bear Room with a luxurious king bed that was enhanced by the breathtaking view of the mountains each morning....AHHHH! A moment later we detected the aroma of the divine breakfasts............is this heaven?!?!? I think so!
With a tiny bit of coaxing, we were able to get Mary to treat us to a brief harp concert....just one of her many talents!
All in all, we left the Chilhowee Mt. Retreat a bit wistfully and hoping to return again one day!

I cannot adequately describe how great a weekend here is because to do so would require some sort of advanced degree in creative writing or literature which I do not possess. Chilhowee retreat provided perhaps what I can only crudely put into words as the most relaxing, enjoyable, stress-free weekend I have ever had. Period. End of discussion. Apart from the relaxing rooms (read: like sleeping in cloud heaven) the hospitality provided by Jim and Mary is entirely unique. Never will you encounter a more easy-to-talk-to pair of innkeepers. The stories, wisdom, local directions and overall attitude of those two will stay with my all of my days. Truly, just being in such a beautiful environment with your every need taken care of by two of the most remarkable people you will ever encounter is a dream come true. I enjoyed my stay here immensely and would stay again in a heartbeat.

This B&B far exceeded expectations! Of course we were fortunate to have the place to ourselves, so we just spread out and enjoyed it like we were home. So comfortable, warm and inviting. Mary & Jim are the best Hosts. Amazing baked bananas, quiche and waffles. We played cards on the large balcony overlooking the beautiful, mountainous landscape. Then we'd pamper ourselves with mud facial packs and a spa-like bathroom -- complete with this incredible, jetted tub and a steam shower. They have thought of everything to make your stay a luscious experience. Will definitely go back.

Great to know we have exceeded expectations. Thank you for your wonderful review. We trust that the birthday getaway was everything you had hoped for. We are so glad that you enjoyed the "spa" setting that we have tried to develop and took the time to pamper yourselves. We look forward to seeing you on your next trip to the Smoky Mountains.

The cleanest most welcoming and cozy B & B I've ever stayed in. The gourmet breakfast is amazing and the atmosphere was soothing. Great views, great history lessons from Jim. Truly reccomend for anyone looking for a mountain getaway.
