I have been on several occasions and loved every minute of it and afterwards the children were allowed to touch the puppets when we saw nessie the loch ness monster I would definitely recommend it to everybody. A great day out with the family!

I took my 3 and 5 year old grandchildren to Pip and Panda go to the Circus. This was an excellent show. It was geared exactly to their age range. The length and content were spot on. The amount of audience participation was just right. The organisation was excellent. When you go in, you are allocated a table in the cafe for your party. That table is yours for pre, during and post theatre so you can leave jackets, bags etc.
I would highly recommend this event but pre booking is necessary as it is very popular. Well done to all involved.

Great day trip to see the puppets. Thoroughly enjoyed by all, very suitable for 3-6 year olds. Added bonus of the little playground outside as well as the stunning backdrop of the Scottish Borders. Will be back.

We had booked a trip to the Theatre to see a performance of Sinbad for our two sons (9 & 6) as we were on holiday near by. We arrived at the venue and it was obvious that the family who ran the theatre had really worked hard at creating a magical place for children (and adults to visit) We had lunch in the cafe before our visit (which was very reasonably priced) and when the show started we were told the tables where we were sitting would be ours for the day. The little theatre itself was stunning with handpainted scenes on the walls and twinkling stars on the ceiling. The show was wonderful and the children loved it (including my 9 year old who before had stated he was "too old for puppets".) There was a short interval, where we could return to our table for ice cream and after the performance, the puppeteers brought out some puppets for the children to meet. This family run place was a delight to visit and it was obviously run by people who loved what they did.

This was our first visit to the theatre to see Sinbad the Sailor on Wednesday 12th April. Our Grandchildren have been on a number of occasions and really enjoyed it, so we thought because we were vising them we would take them and experience it for ourselves. It was lovely, so much better than we thought and so well organised, well worth another visit. The reason why I have given the experience only four rating is because our Grandaughter is the proud owner of a Blue Peter badge and she was very excited because we had looked on line and it said that Blue Peter badge holders could get in free. We had reserved our tickets and went to pay for them letting the lady know that we had a Blue Peter Badge holder with us to be told that we would still have to pay for her because her badge didn't apply for that performance, it would only apply if we had a trip around the museum and theatre. Nowhere did it say that on the website and I said this to the lady, she said that it should be on there to explain this. So we had one disappointed Grandaughter because this would had been her first time in displaying her Blue Peter Badge. You should perhaps check your website, but it will not put us off coming again.

Hello Mrs Kramer, thank you for your review, It was lovely to hear that your Grandchildren enjoyed it so much! In regards to the Blue Peter Badge - Blue Peter had misread our terms and conditions making it embarrassing for us, as it was not our fault.
So they will be changing it promptly to say that "Free entry for the badge holder (with 3 paying adults) on a guided tour of the Theatre only. Performance tickets are not included in this offer.
Next time we hope to welcome your Granddaughter on a Backstage Theatre tour, which I'm sure she would really enjoy after watching the show. She would even get to work some of the puppets too! Hope to see you soon.
