Popped into this great wee cafe for the first time today. Lovely cosy feel to it. Very pleasant, friendly and helpful staff. All home made cakes and good coffee.
It is also a wool shop too selling a good range of wools as well as other gifts.
The Larder is run to raise funds for the Feufield Animal Sanctuary in nearby Symington. They are open 7 days a week, and offer a takeaway service, outside catering, hampers made to order as well as celebration cakes. So all money going to a good cause.

So pleased to see a good quality coffee shop/deli in Biggar with an eye for the ethically aware consumer. Superb quality coffee and teas, scrumptious homemade cakes and food in generous portions - and you're doing your bit for the animal sanctuary at Feufield while enjoying a tasty treat! Some members of the staff need a wee bit more service training, but they were friendly and accommodating (nipped up the road to buy some cream for a party member's coffee) and a smile goes a long way to ease over small mistakes. Nice, fresh and lively decor and art makes this a much-needed change from the rather tired competitors further up the High St. Looking forward to seeing this enterprise go from strength to strength!

I hadn't been in this lovely new cafe until last week and so when I walked in wanting a hot chocolate and a newspaper I was really impressed by the bright and airy interior. Although they didn't have a newspaper in the cafe, the owner actually went out and bought me one to read with my super luxurious hot chocolate. Now thats what I call service! However, the best has got to be that when you eat here you are actually helping the Feufield Animal Sanctuary. In the cafe you can actually buy fresh free range eggs and handmade jams and chutneys all from the animal sanctuary. The owner was super friendly and very interesting telling me about all the great work this animal sanctuary actually carries out. The cafe even does Moroccan Nights with Oriental cuisine and bellydancers!!
