Kilronan House

We had a lovely stay at Kilronan House which is situated in a very quiet residential street and is in easy walking distance for local shops, restaurants and train station. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean with the benefit of an en suite shower room and was perfect for a quiet nights sleep. The tea/coffee facilities were replenished every day along with biscuits and fresh fruit,Colins breakfasts left you wanting for nothing and set you up for the day.All in all a perfect stay and Colin was the perfect host.

We spent 3 nights there in February and although one night was windy and rainy outside, inside it was warm, comfortable and quiet. The twin room was light and airy and the beds very comfortable. Just a few minutes walk from the University and main shopping street (and main road through Bridge of Allan), but in a very quiet residential location, made it an ideal choice for us. Colin and Linda were very helpful and friendly and our breakfasts were excellent (making us eat too much!). Thank you both for a lovely stay!

I stayed here again with my wife for a few nights in December and, again, we can't fault it.

Colin & Linda are wonderful hosts, very welcoming, accommodating and helpful. As before, Linda's breakfasts are to die for :) I highly recommend the Kilronan Special!

The house & gardens are lovely, very spacious, as are the rooms. As others have mentioned, tea & coffee making facilities, biscuits, fruit, bottled water are all provided. Ask Colin to show you his fish pond!

If you're staying in the area, be sure to stay at Kilronan - I know we'll be back before long.

Room Tip: The room on the front has a great view of Stirling Castle

We stayed at Kilronan for only 1 night in September on the recommendation of friends who had stayed there earlier in the summer. The room was wonderful.. spacious with a view of Sterling Castle. Nice clean bathroom with towel warming rack. Also enjoyed the tea tray with biscuits that was in our room. We also enjoyed perusing the magazines and interesting books that were in the lounge. Colin was very welcoming and accommodating even though his wife was in the hospital at the time. The KIlronan special at breakfast was wonderful and we felt very personally welcomed by the Virginia state flag that was displayed on the breakfast buffet!
Bridge of Allen is an endearing town and we would have loved to spend more time there.

Every detail thought off to make a very comfortable stay. Room spacious, comfortable temperature, tea and coffee making facility with fruit and biscuits. Bottle water replaced daily. Further selection of teas etc. on outside landing. Breakfast choice excellent and recommend the Kilronan Special of scrambled egg and smoked salmon!
Comfortable lounge for guests. Quiet. Lovely house and garden. Made to feel very welcome by hosts Martin and Linda. Advice given for restaurants and day excursions if wished. easy walking distance to village and good restaurants.
Perfect stay and would look forward to a return. From Linda and Elizabeth

We stayed in Kilronan House for 3 nights and what a lovely experience. Our room was beautiful and spacious. Breakfasts were a treat, expecially the scrambled eggs. (Should have had Colin give me lessons!) Colin had some good trip advice. Bridge of Allen is a beautiful town, and Colin's house is wonderful. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
